I think this is around my 7-8th controller within the span of 3 years. that’s about $400 wasted on PS5 controllers and it boils my blood so much thinking about it, because there’s nothing i can do to avoid this & it’s crazy there’s never been a class action lawsuit.

Still on my first two controllers since launch in 2020. And I've played thousands of hours on this device. And my dog has thrown it off the sofa more times than I can count.

I was really skeptical about the DualSense at first. Especially because I had to buy a new DualShock almost once a year previous gen. But I was pleasantly surprised by the new controller's sturdiness based on the two I have. 🌞

Sucks to hear that not everybody has the same experience.

@PorkChopExpress I heard the edge gets drift too and you would just have to keep buying new analogs for it. i guess you save more money with it in the long run, but ugh. its just a controller, it shouldnt be breaking for us to have to buy a premium one. if i could use the ps3 controller for ps5 i would (sold the ps4 towards a ps5 so no longer have a DS4) .

@Herculean are your two controllers the white ones? Because this recent one i had was white & it lasted longer than other colors ive had.

So I’m still on my first two controllers… though I did have a new dual sense today as it goes… but both of those original two have issues. 1 has stick-drift and the other has lost the haptics in the R2. I find that the stick-drift on the one actually comes and goes though… sometimes it’ll just be unplayable and others almost un-noticeable.

Let’s hope Sony can work something out for hall effect sticks on the dual sense 2 🤞
