Is Hades safe for kids?

@Mega-Gazz I think it’s a Pegi 12 so depends on age. It doesn’t look as graphically realistic as some games but I’m not sure how suitable the story is.

Mine just arrived through the post... I got about a third of TLoU:R Survivor+ playthrough left, so I'll finish that off, while i mull over whether I'll start Hades next or not.

@Mega-Gazz There’s basically nothing in it that isn’t in Greek myth. I’d say it’s definitely alright for kids.

@colonelkilgore If you don't mind me asking, who did you get it from? Always good to know a reliable online retailer for games.

@colonelkilgore Ah ok, I have a few trusted sites I shop around and can sometimes get them cheaper than Amazon, and usually a few days before it is released. Next day Prime delivery is useful though.

@JohnnyShoulder fair, I’ve just personally never had any issues with them so they’ve kept my custom. Where do you shop bud?

Hades came with a little booklet tucked in the case with character art etc. Can’t remember the last time a game had a booklet… probably only PS3 era but it ‘seems’ more distant. The art style is very cool so it’s a nice little bonus.

@JohnnyShoulder cheers dude, always good to have options.

Great game. Quite enjoyable gameplay and storytelling is done well. I’ve died 3 times and got to the first boss on one of those but didn’t quite make it. Gonna play something else for a bit but will definitely be back.

@colonelkilgore Not normal with regular editions, that kinda thing is usually saved for special editions. Although I got some art cards and stuff with The Pathless and a map with Mafia. I seem to remember there being a manual with Dark Souls Remastered and stuff like that with The Witcher 3.

@JohnnyShoulder yeah in fairness I got a really nice art book with my Nioh 2 special edition… and yeah I used to love a fold-out map with games, you don’t get enough of them anymore. I was more referring to just how all games used to have a booklet though… opening the Hades case and seeing it there was a proper touchstone back to a twelve year old me buying The Revenge of Shinobi on the Megadrive and reading the booklet cover-to-cover on the train home in excitement.

Voltan

Damn, I screwed up. Apparently the lower price on PSN was for pre-orders and now it’s on par with the physical version. I didn’t show up as a discount and I don’t think it said that in the description.
Not that €5 is a huge deal but I was always going to buy it so I might’ve just as well saved as much.

@Voltan Ah that’s bad luck. I think in the UK it was the same price on pre order as it was after. I’m sure it’s worth it though.

@colonelkilgore I know mate, just saying that is all I've seen included in recent times.

As most go online these days anyway, that is where manuals can be found. Plus it keeps costs down and is probably better for the environment.

@Keith_Zissou Yeah it had a map, soundtrack and Witcher universe compendium with the regular version, as I've still got the box. Looks like the soundtrack even came on CD, as there is a slip case but no disk. God knows where that has gone.

@JohnnyShoulder @Keith_Zissou just checked my copy out of curiosity. Yeah, soundtrack, stickers and map still inside the case… most unlike the old me.

@colonelkilgore Might have used the stickers as I don't have them, or may have been an earlier edition or something with different goodies.
