This chat has given me an idea actually… not necessarily something that everyone would appreciate but I’m definitely considering it. I’m moving into a new house soon and will be having one of the bedrooms as a gaming room. I’ve been thinking about what (if anything) I could put hang on the walls… and now I’m thinking maybe I have something.

I’m thinking that I could frame (well… just frameless-glass really) all of the gaming maps that I’ve used over the years. Y’kno… GTA3, Vice City, San Andreas etc. Elder Scrolls Oblivion & Skyrim, Witcher 3, Saints Row 2, Fallout 3, 4 and New Vegas… and any others that I may have. As I said, a lot of people (the vast majority in all probability) will consider this extremely sad… but I’m quite liking the idea.

@Keith_Zissou well you've really 'seen' my maps and raised me a bionic arm there Keith... all the while casting aspersions that your neighbours smoke marijuana joints🤣.

Downloaded the game and played for an hour and a half, dying to the Bone Hydra on my last run. Unsurprisingly, it’s very good

Anyone know how to change keepsakes? For the life of me I can't figure it out.

@Elodin The sorta glass drawer looking thing. One in Skelly’s lair, one at the end of each floor in the corridor.

I really, really love this game.

@johncalmc It’s pretty good. I quite like how there’s a good range of weapons and a good selection of power ups to transform things like cast into something useful.

I was going to wait until the next weekend to play it, sooooo... anybody kill Theseus yet?

@Voltan I've just managed to beat Megaera a few times but usually get killed in Asphodel by those falling rock things. I'm not even sure how far along Theseus is as I've tried to not look at any guides etc. so you are probably going to tell me that you've almost got though to the end already? 😆

BTW are there any shortcuts etc or do you always end up fighting the bosses again?

@render Basically I got to the end of the 3rd area twice but died to the boss both times. I did 7 or 8 runs total, I think.
The falling rocks were pretty annoying at first but they're much easier when you have a double dash.
I don't think there are any shortcuts but unlike Returnal you apparently do get tangibly stronger with time, as you spend currency on permanent upgrades, upgrade your keepsakes, etc.
It's pretty cool but I took a look at the trophy list and right now I don't think I'd have it in my to go for the platinum... but I guess we'll have to see

@Voltan I've been spending money at the mirror and have been trying out the various weapons / keepsakes etc. I've noticed that the first lot of enemies have got much easier but I've probably died 10 times already, 5 of those on the first level and the other 5 on the second. You've definitely got the hang of this one in good time as well and if you think it's going to be a bit of a chore to get the plat then it's most likely going to be doubly so for me 😂

Stuck on bone hydra, but mostly due to trying all the weapons and not focusing on one. I think I like the spear the best so far. I'll stay with it until I beat hydra at least. What weapon is everyone's favorite?

@Elodin I'm not sure if it happens after you beat a certain part of the game or what but now every time I get to the weapon chamber, one of them has a bonus to how much darkness you collect, so I just pick that one. You get a thing everytime you beat a boss with a new weapon so you shouldn't really be sticking to one, I guess.

As for favorite stuff - I do like being able to reflect projectiles when dashing, so if Athena's boons show up, I pick that one. Poseidon's stuff that gives you knockback is cool too.

@Voltan @Elodin I've been trying out the various weapons and would say the spear is my favourite as well. It's got good melee and ranged attacks and I quite like the special as well. I've not stuck to it though as I've been doing the same as Voltan and have been selecting the one with the bonus on it.

I did quite well with the bow the other day and quite like the charged and special attacks on that too. The only problem with selecting that is that it doesn't have a melee so you have to remember that when getting up close with any enemies. It took me a bit to get into the groove but by the time I'd got to the first boss I'd just about remembered!!

I'm just a little worried about the game being designed to play through multiple times (as I understand it is) - not sure if it will give me enough motivation to do so. But I'll guess I'll find out when I get there

@Voltan There's always god mode which if you really want to just blitz through it, sounds like you should be able to with that enabled 😉

@render That sounds like the opposite of motivation tbh

@Voltan @render I'm a big fan of Athena deflect dash. I'm certain if I was a bit more patient i could dash win a room and for some rooms it has been my only saving grace. I do like Posidens knockback boon as well as that has more damage.
Ill take your advise and take the dark bonus weapon

@Bentleyma- its fantastic fun and a good story so far as well.
