@z0d15g0d I kinda prefer it to be honest. I have to pick and choose carefully who I am (hopefully) getting anyway, so I don’t pull on most banners.

But It’s going to be a busy few banners as they will likely be re-running Jing Yuan, Luocha, DHIL, FuXuan and Jingliu over 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 (maybe even 2.3 too) and that’s before the new Penacony characters. Just can’t afford most of those back to back on battle pass and possibly daily jade pack, especially if you lose the 50:50. Luck needed and some early ones!

I assume it’s like Genshin where it’s been concluded that the first 20 wishes you have slightly higher odds to get a 5-star character early then lower odds to 75 (soft pity) and then they rapidly increase until it’s guaranteed by wish 90 but most likely around 75-80. That’s been my experience so far (except no earlies yet).

2.3 will also take us to the anniversary where they should hand out some good stuff too.

At the moment I’m saving until 2.0 at least so hopefully should be able to secure someone then. Gacha gods willing. Free Dr Ratio in the meantime.

@themightyant Lol yea i've been playing long enough that it's always on 90 pulls now so I dread 50/50. 0 mercy on my account. I've pulled Welts LC 3 times now but still don't have Welt and from all the guides I've looked through it seems to be the best LC for him only so that sucks majorly. Bronya and Tingyun are good enough for harmony and Luocha for abundance so if any new characters are for those roles I'll just skip them if the rerun banner is for a character or LC I want.

Hell yes to free Dr Ratio (LC be free too please no one seems to know if it will be)and looks like Lynx will be free for completing Pure fiction stage 2 so that should get mine to E6 even though she's still lv20. 3 days till fiction launches.
I think I will start cursing the gacha gods as praying doesn't seem to work. They're technically evil so spite might bring me good fortune instead lol.
I've also heard that Black Swan is going to be the first character with 2 elements. Have you heard of this?

@z0d15g0d - Always 90 pulls? That's ridiculous. I think my worst push was mid 80's in Genshin and that happened once. My average is late 60's to mid 70's in both HSR and Genshin. I'd be distraught with a regular push to 90!

There's no chance of Dr Ratio's cone being free, maybe we'll get a decent 4* event reward cone at some point but I can't see that happening anytime soon. Be overjoyed we're actually getting a free 5* unit!

Edit: Just got my free Lynx! Argenti, Himeko, Topaz, Jingliu and Blade absolutely wreck that new mode in auto play lol. I just Popped the platinum too!

@Shigurui I started Pure Fiction and did enough to get through the first 2 levels to claim my Lynx Eidolon. (I actually thought it was E4 for the ATK boost, but sadly not, just E3 for now, basically more heals)

I only got 2 stars and realised, like most end-game content, I currently still don't have two strong enough whole teams for it, or enough variety in DPS. Thankfully the rewards run for another 6 weeks before resetting (with the stages changing after 3) so hopefully by then I should have built at least Ruan Mei and Dr Ratio, as well as perhaps some other characters. I'll try again later when i'm better equipped.

I also got to Lv 30 on the Battle Pass got my 2 free standard banner wishes but still didn't get a 5 star (78 pity now) gotta be soon, right? please be Bronya, please be Bronya... I'll probably get E1 Himeko or Bailu. lol

Haven't decided which lightcone to get. Probably Superimposition for Tingyun (Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds), but will probably wait to see what 5 star I get before committing. Which Battle pass cones have you guys gone for?

I'm more eager for Planar Fissure which starts on Wednesday and means double rewards for the Planar Ornaments in the Simulated Universe.

As usual it just seems like more endless waiting!

EDIT: Did you complete all levels of Pure Fiction? How many stars did you get with that team?

@themightyant - Only had time to do the first 2 levels, got max stars on both. I've been getting the Peaceful Day cone for Argenti, s3 so far. Got my fingers crossed for a Bronya for you. Good luck mate!

@themightyant - Which LC have you put on Lynx? I have a few Post-Op but I'm building her specifically for pulling aggro on Blade so thinking Hey, Over Here might be a better choice as it's already s5 (my Lynx is only E2). Prydwen, Game8 etc don't even mention it in build guides but I think it could be a solid option for Blade.

@Shigurui I currently have Shared Feeling on Lynx in part because I have it S3. (Increases outgoing healing 15% and generates 3 Energy for ALL allies when using skill)

But really I use this LC specifically as I was often a little short on getting Seele’s Ultimate back up and either needed to be hit, or find another way to get energy to get her Ult up a turn faster. It’s still not always enough, but it helps. As does Tingyun’s battle pass light cone (Carve the Moon…) where one of the three random buffs you get is +7.5 Energy Regen Rate (with S2). But again it’s not quite guaranteed. Regardless I felt for MY account this was more important than losing a little healing, which is rarely an issue. When I die it’s unlikely to change with a few percent more healing.

All the online resources are just guides, all our accounts are different, and trying to find what works in YOUR specific circumstances is part of the fun/challenge.

Hey Over Here looks pretty good on her to me. (12% HP and 28% outgoing healing for 2 turns after skill sounds good) I can’t see why it wouldn’t work on her. I think I used to use it before my specific needs.

I suspect as this light cone was added in recent event they haven’t gone through and done all the calculations and updated the guides. This is a frequent problem in all these games. Often using YouTube and searching for the light cone specifically you will find a video saying who it’s good with but I couldn’t find one for this one.

I finally got my next standard banner 5 star after 79 wishes I got… drumroll…

Ok so it’s not Bronya, but the odds of that were always unlikely.

I feel a bit mixed, I did want a new character really, but would prefer this to Himeko or Bailu’s eidolons etc.

And of the light cones on offer it’s 100% the one I would have picked as it’s going to be a perfect fit for Dr Ratio. Looks like it will be his best lightcone except for signature weapons.... or situationally better for Seele.

Ultimately could have been a bit better, but could have been a LOT worse. I’m content.

Hoping the next one isn’t 75+ again though, as that will likely be a few months away! Give me an early one plz! lol. And now up to 155 wishes. Probably 6ish months away from Bronya guaranteed. The wait continues.

@themightyant - I've been using it and so far so good, between skill spamming with Lynx and Jingliu's life steal Blade is now a follow up machine lol. Happy with it.

That's a solid LC to have for Dr R, now to add insult to your injury. I just hit 155 pulls on standard (alt account) and got Bronya's LC for my E1 Bronya. She's my support character on that account so at least I can use her on my main! I'm about 215 pulls in on that account so my free pick is on the horizon but still a good way off. Definitely getting her though, even if I get her beforehand, that E1 is too good.

Played strange fiction up to stage 3. Got 3 stars on the first 2 stages then 1 star on stage 3 on my second try. How the heck did it drop so badly? More fine tuning required I guess.

@themightyant Sucks you didn't get Bronya this time but that LC is a better get than a lot of the other options. Will Dr Ratio's LC be a standalone banner then?

@Shigurui My worst fear was pulling Bronya's lighcone instead of Bronya. That would be top level trolling from MiHoYo. lol Same position as you, IF I got lucky and got her before E1 is likely.

@z0d15g0d That's not surprising. They VERY carefully balance these modes so that you can get though the first few stages but then hit a wall. (same in simulated universe, Swarm disaster, MoC etc.) They are, after all, just there to tempt us to put more time and/or money into the game with the tempting reward of more stellar jade... so we can get more characters and put EVEN more time and/or money into the game. lol

These modes are also Pay to Win. If you have a massive roster of characters with Eidolons, or Signature weapons (maybe with Superimpositions) and better traces and relics because you have been using stellar jade to farm then you have a HUGE advantage.

Pure Fiction specifically likes AoE and Follow up characters right now, so Himeko and even Herta is a good character in this mode... for now. On the one hand I like that they make all characters viable in some situations. But on the other I know they are just trying to get us to spend so that we can upgrade more characters. Many will fold.

Hence I try not to mind when I hit these walls because I understand why they are DELIBERATELY there and balanced to test our spending resolve. But I won't just spend lots of money to get over the hurdle, i'd rather get less stars and rewards but do it my way. I will have to wait to get a better team SLOWLY and get more stars and stellar jade next time. Though MiHoYo will make it harder and harder each time.

Lastly I just ran out of credits for the first time last night. Honestly I hadn't looked at my money almost ever. Last time I looked I had 6 million plus, and then was trying to upgrade Ruan Mei but couldn't... I had just 4,000 credits. welp. I looked up methods to gain credits and one guide suggested running through all the standard enemies, but I did this for about an hour and got a paltry 40,000ish. Not worth the time. So on top of everything else I am waiting for, I now need to waste my trailblazer power on bloody credits. At times I hate this game! But only briefly.

Did either of you have problems with credits and what did you do to resolve it? Any tips?

@z0d15g0d Yes Dr Ratio will have his own banner (for anyone that wants Eidolons) and the lightcone will have it's own banner.

@Shigurui Yup 85-90 pulls the last 6 or 7 times so that's a lot of daily grinding just to keep up.

@Shigurui @z0d15g0d With Pure Fiction it's also worth bearing in mind that the PHASE (as they call it) changes every 3 weeks but, if I understand this correctly, the rewards only reset every 6 weeks. In other words you may be able to do better with the next phase which will keep the same rewards.

The current phase is beneficial to any character that has an AoE Ult that fires often or hits often, but also follow up attackers as they will get their Ult quicker. e.g. Argenti, Himeko, Jing Yuan, Blade etc.

The next phase is already announced and will likely be more beneficial to Damage over Time (DoT) characters like Kafka, Sampo, Serval, Hook, Luka, Guinaifen.

Worth bearing that in mind as that may help of hinder your progress. I have no DoT characters built so will try and get a few more stars in the next 3 weeks.

@z0d15g0d - Oof, that sucks! My friend showed me an article ages ago about how Genshin accounts build a set pattern over time. He has amazing 5* luck, often getting multiples and early 5* too, my Genshin account has bang average 5* luck but amazing 4* luck, I often get multiple 4* whereas his 4* character pulls are always single. This pattern has held up over the years. I wonder if HSR has a similar thing? Edit: Forgot to say that my hit rate for 5* is about 68/75 on Genshin, if he doesn't get one early then it tends to be 80/85.

@themightyant - Never really had an issue with credits, I earn whatever passively then when my BP hits 50 I buy it and get a huge influx of mats and credits and spend then. I took Blade and Lynx and both their LC's from 0 to 80 with 6/8/8/8 and 8/8/8 traces respectively and maxed Blade's relics with Lynx's at 12, have about 1.6 million left. Not sure what to tell you mate.

@Shigurui I'm guessing it's mostly because I didn't get the battle pass initially, so missed out on around 3+ million credits.

Have you pushed any characters to 9 or 10 on traces? That also seems to be pretty expensive. i.e.

• Lv 10 costs 300,000 (for a 5 star, 240,000 for a 4-star)
• Lv 9 costs 160,000 (128,000 for a 4-star)
• Lv 8 'only' costs 80,000 (64,000 for a 4-star)

Plus materials. So far I have only pushed my DPS Seele to 10, she's at 5/10/10/9 (basic, skill, ult, talent) but have pushed key supports to 9 in some key areas like Tingyun 5/9/8/7 or Silver Wolf 4/9/9/8 and Lynx 4/9/9/8 everyone else is 4-8 on characters I have levelled.

Have you also taken them to level 80 and upgraded minor traces? Again I've only taken Seele to 80 and upgraded all her minor traces. For my supports most are at 70 (ascended) or 75. However a lot of them have minor traces that enhance their main kit at Lv 75 or Lv 80. E.g. Silver Wolf gets 8% Effect Hit-rate at Lv 75 which is very useful. Lynx gets 8% HP, which enhances her healing, at Lv 80 (which I don't have yet).

@themightyant So far I've only used Argenti or Jing Yuan in pure fiction. I'll try with Himeko but my Herta is still lv 30.

Yes credit is always an issue now but I don't focus too much on it. I tend to get a few million when a new event starts every couple of weeks and BP so I just focus on mat collection till then. All my main DPS are maxed now so I guess it's less annoying than it was before.

@Shigurui Damn I wish I had that kind of RNG luck. Don't think I've ever had that in a game before. A hit rate of 68 would be amazing. I hope this isn't a set pattern on my account. That would really suck.
