@Voltan I know youtube videos suffer from compression, but this literally looks blurry to me at 1080p.

@Ralizah I noticed that too. It’s possible that they dropped the resolution in the game a little to allow more detail, better lighting etc. Or it might just be YT.

@JohnnyShoulder Amazingly in this unassuming town of ours in the middle of the UK a Horizon FW poster has popped up on one of the bill boards near to where my folks live. It's pretty cool to see it but feels like a real oldskool way of advertising a new game.

@velio84 I usually just stick with normal and that's what I'm gonna do. Can't say I really care whether there's a challenge at every step or not in these big games that I intend to fully explore, find collectibles etc

Btw, looks like pre-load for the digital version starts as soon as tomorrow.

@velio84 I'm probably going to check if there's a difficulty specific trophy first before I decide. With ZD I played on normal to start with and then as I enjoyed the game I went for a second play through with ultra hard difficultly to get the platinum. If there's a similar thing with HFW I'll do the same if it's good, which well how can it not be 😁

@render The ultra hard trophy in ZD was in a separate "NG+" list, not needed for the plat. I never bothered with that one

@velio84 Normal. That was hard enough for me in the first one. Some of the really big machines were frustratingly difficult for me even on Normal, and in my recent second playthrough I played it on Easy so I didn't have to worry about getting frustrated and could just enjoy re-experiencing the game again. Maybe I suck, but oh well.

@Voltan Thanks for correcting me, my memory is definitely not as good as yours. You are right though looking at the actual trophy list that was one with a plus sign next to it so it's a separate list. I must have just been hell bent on getting 100% on that list as that's what it's showing on my trophies list 😄

@velio84 I'm going to try and platinum at least one of those games as well so it will likely be HFW as the trophy list is more likely to be realistic. It'll be interesting to see the trophy lists for all of them though and then at what point I decide to abandon all hope of the platinum and just get through the game 🤣

@velio84 FF7R’s hard mode is a pretty unique one, as a couple small changes it introduces affect how need to approach the game in a big way
It’s much more than “same thing but harder” (although it definitely is harder).

@velio84 Your memory must be fuzzy, since I actually had issues with FF7R's Hell House boss battle the first time around, although things were a lot easier for me the second time around when I played the PS5 version.

Oh well. We find different games easier, as Horizon Zero Dawn did give me more fits overall than FF7R did on Normal.

Anyone going to be playing at midnight or taking the Friday off work to play? I should probably be a responsible adult and use my holiday for the week after when the kids are off school but I'm really tempted 😆

@render I ordered the physical special edition so it probably won't arrive early, I'll just get to it straight after work.

@render I have the Friday off, so I’m hoping that it gets delivered early enough for me to get a proper session in. I’m also gonna warn the missus that she might not see much of me that Saturday and Sunday… unless she fancies spending 48 hours in the gaming room 😉.

@velio84 I’d imagine that you can start playing the digital at midnight Thurs/Fri (as long as it’s pre-installed).

Yeah, it should be playable on Friday, starting at midnight. Btw, pre-loads for the digital edtion should be available today, apparently.

I don’t know if it’s just on here (Push Square) or if it’s the PlayStation community as a whole… but it seems like HFW is gonna sell an absolute truck-load at release!
