@render Yes it is. I managed to upgrade it twice last night. My spike thrower isn’t legendary but it’s currently my most powerful tool, deals very serious damage. I also got the legendary boltblaster but my current one is good for elemental attacks… I might just equip both, I dunno 🤷♂️
@Voltan The spike thrower is definitely the best of the new weapons. The warm up is a bit off-putting if you are fighting something fast but on bigger things where you've got a bit more time to hand a hit it can really pack a punch. I just really struggled with the boltblaster, just getting my head around how it worked and the manual reload. Generally you can't beat a good bow 😀
Played for a bit last night, Did a few sidequests which were great and then ended up taking more photos, good job I haven't bought ER yet as I'm just taking my sweet time with this one. Loving the drill spike 😊
@KilloWertz You can certainly do well without them but the fact that they are Legendary just makes you want them 😀
@Voltan Especially if you want to clear stuff out quickly like in the arena. Even with some good elemental damage and high damage on my hunter bow I just couldn't do enough in the time limits.
@render Obviously I'll want them when I come across them someday. The only annoying thing about them is not really them, but the fact that 95% of the best weapons lists online for the game just list Legendary weapons. That's not helpful when somebody like me isn't even halfway through the game yet, and there were more helpful lists for the first one. Oh well, I guess I'll just do it the old fashioned way and judge weapons and outfits on my own.

Im at like 88% completion so it seems likely that I’ll beat the game tonight. I don’t think I’ll be going for 100%, although I’ll probably come close - just don’t feel like playing all those games of Strike that I ended up ignoring after getting the corresponding trophy
@Voltan@RogerRoger I left machine strike alone after the beginners games. It was fun but not fun enough that I'd want to carry on playing it. Shame really as I can imagine it could be fun but it just feels like there's too many rules that I can't retain in my head to make it worth the while. If the trophy had been to play more advanced games then I would have pushed on.

It’s like you stripped this straight from my mind 🤯
Hopefully I'll get a good chunk played this weekend, looking forward to sitting down and putting several hours into it and maybe even advance the main story 😂.
@velio84 I see your point regarding the trophies, it does give you that choice. This is perhaps where an additional trophy list would have come in handy as then those what just wanted to get the plat could have cut off at that point but those that wanted to 100% the trophy list would have had a reason to carry on 🤷♂️
Sounds like you really don't like board games though. I can't imagine not even being able to enjoy a game of Frustration - clearly the best board game ever made 😀
@render Same, I just did all the boards with the Chainscrape player (so I could get the trophy) and never touched it since, even though I actually purchased some pieces and really thought about playing some more
@render Seems like the Machine Strike Club only has 2 members right now. I actually enjoy playing it as well, but I also enjoy playing the games like Gwent and Orlog in The Witcher 3 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Once I played a few games of it, I didn't find there to be that many rules. I can win pretty regularly even on Intermediate boards (obviously not far enough along for anything higher).
With that said, I'm not sure if I will play every board or not since there isn't a trophy for completing them all. Even though I do appreciate them making some of the trophies easier to get, it is a bit strange for there not to be one for doing them all. Knowing me, I probably will still do any I see when I go to each place, but not make sure to find one I may have missed unlike with Orlog since there was a trophy for beating all of them.

I have a question, I could look it up online but don't want to incase of spoilers. What I want to know is do you aquire the diving apparatus through progressing the main story?
So, er, I didn't see that coming. Varl died. A bit gutted really because he was a good loyal friend to Aloy and a nice chap. I really feel for war chief Sona, she's lost both her children now.
I still haven't finished it but I think the story is becoming more and more ridiculous. It was always going to be tough to build on the shock and awe of Zero Dawn.
I'm ready to begin what I think is the final main quest. The only trophies I got left are for finishing the main story and scanning all machines (of which I got one left and I'm assuming it appears during said final quest) so that should be an automatic platinum.
I got all the collectibles and did everything I could find on the map except Strike matches, some of the arena challenges and the 3rd race.
There's at least one thing I know can only be done in the post-game so I'll do that too and I should be done with the Forbidden West for now (unless there's a ton of side quests that unlock in the post game or something - because in that case I'm doing all of those of course).
