Topic: R2 Button Loose

I vaguely remember seeing a topic around this before and a quick Google shows that it seems to be a problem quite a few have had.

Basically my R2 button is now loose, it moves side to side slightly and is very sensitive. It doesn't seem in any danger of coming apart but it is rather annoying.

Anyone else had this issue? I know it was quite a problem with the original PS4 controller but had hoped it wouldn't happen with this one.

There does seem to be a way to repair it but seeing as I have 2 controllers I'm tempted to contact the Sony/seller and see what they can do.

It's most likely a broken spring in it. Seems to happen more than expected unfortunately, probably the most common issue with the PS5 right now (still, that doesn't necessarily mean it's very common).

Had the same issue. Contacted Sony and got a replacement.

@TheIdleCritic Contacted Sony how? Do they have an email address for this sort of thing? Or did you have to call?

@HMazzy111 I'm in the UK, just so you know. I called them. Easy to find number from the official site. Be prepared to wait on the line for up to an hour. I knew that going in and I don't blame Sony (I contacted them around Christmas time). Just told them the problem, sent back my DS and they sent back a new one.
