People have no patience. The studio had to deal with the hack last month. I think NG+ takes less priority over that.
If you can't wait a few months then that's on you.
@LN78 damn that actually could’ve been a great idea! a co-op experience makes so much sense , they really dropped the ball with this game in terms of what they could’ve done better. like a lot of people say - they played it too safe & kept the issues of the first .
@AdamNovice In addition, there's State of Play to consider. Back around when the 1st game and its DLC released, Sony were moving away from events after E3 2018 (e.g. Playstation Experience didn't happen in December 2018) and State of Play didn't exist yet which led to stuff being announced out of nowhere more often.
Nowadays, State of Play and Playstation Showcase exists which is a suitable place to announce that kind of stuff.
@Savage_Joe why compare this to ragnarok though , especially since theyre not from the same dev… the first game got DLC quick , like just a couple months afterwards .
@Korra i think most people agree. the spider-man games are no arkham, but they’re some of the best spiderman games and having no new content for it is kind of bizarre.
@Kidfried Well fingers crossed because as it stands "Spider-Man 2" is an incredibly underwhelming game - I was expecting an "Asylum" to "City" style leap and was sorely disappointed.

I thought it was brilliant and i only bought it because of the many positive reviews i had read it not being my type of go to game, I think yours is the first review i have read saying the player was underwhelmed
@Max_Headroom Don't get me wrong here - It's an objectiviely excellent videogame, but as a lifelong Spidey fan, the story was a major letdown (especially in a year when "Across the Spider-Verse" came out) and I thought that the devs were just treading water - a couple of mechanics aside, it's indistinguishable from the earlier games - which I absolutely adored. Like I said, very disappointing - and it was a highly anticipated Christmas present, too!
PS As I've mentioned elsewhere in the forums recently, my last few "AAA" experiences ("Spider-Man 2" and "Alan Wake 2" and "FFXVI" in particular) have been major letdowns - it's entirely possible that this is a "me" problem!
@Max_Headroom it could’ve been much more better than it turned out to be . most people besides diehard fanboys agree it wasn’t a GOTY contender and a solid 8/10 game .
@Kidfried It’s an 8/10 on IGN, Gamespot, and even pushsquare , the majority of the reception here was that the game was too safe and didn’t offer as much as it should have especially for a supposedly 9th gen game.
nominations don’t mean much if the game doesn’t win . it didn’t win a single one .
@Kidfried wasn’t game of the year contender as in - i , and some others, didn’t think it was worth being a contender let alone GoTY.
I also mentioned 3 websites/sources compared to just one (metacritic) , didn’t you ask me to list sources where it was 8/10?? also, isn’t only mentioning metacritic considered “selective” too?
me asserting the games a 8/10 is indeed my opinion, but has there ever been a GoTY that was an 8/10 ? If it was a 9/10 game it would’ve at least won one
@Kidfried It's really interesting - I think I wrote in another topic that it's the most disappointing objectively excellent game that I've ever played. If I was reviewing it strictly on its merits then I'd have to give in an 8 or a 9 but I never want to play it again and I certainly have no interest in playing another game in the series - so in a review based on my subjective feelings it would get a 3 or a 4. Very strange.
