Not purchased any special editions of games as I think they are one of the biggest waste of money there could be.

All I've got is a couple of Amiibo, some magazine covers I've framed (dark souls 3, Bloodborne and The Last Guardian) and and framed fallout 4 print hanging on my bedroom wall. I've got a couple of gaps which I'm thinking of filling with a couple of canvas prints.

I've also bought the Dark Souls 2 artworks book, which is very cool something I'm very chuffed with.

Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.

I made the greatest deal for gaming tat today. My Sister and I alternate weeks when we clean the bathroom. She said if I clean it for the whole month she’ll buy the Persona 5 artbook from GameStop. Which is $40. More than worth it. It’s not that hard to clean it.

@Jaz007 Score! March her to GameStop!

@KALofKRYPTON She already got it. I’m so excited.
Also, so, I’m in the market for a good Joker costume from Persona 5. I’ve been looking around a lot, but does anyone have and places they find a dona really good job or other reccomendations?

@RogerRoger
They only released on the 6th - I thought Sonic was in the next wave though.

It's a nice thing. Interestingly, the ladder to the canopy is modelled and painted on one side, but just a decal on the other 🤔

EDIT: Forgot to mention, think these are produced, or at least licensed for production by GameStop/EB Games, I think GAME are affiliated with them - so it makes sense that they would stock them.

Found a couple of bits I had stored.
Got these Shooting Game Historica gashapon.
I have a few more but these are my favourites. I wish I'd carried on collecting the series - some great ships came up - as with most things, they're pretty hard to find at a reasonable price these days.

Anyway, here we have the Vic Viper from Gradius V, a Silver Hawk from the Darius series and The R-9A Arrow Head from R-Type.

First Collectors Edition! Very happy with it!

Couple of dices, 2 drinking glasses, 2 coasters, a pouch, an AWESOME art book and of course the game. £80.
Hope I don't fall into the trap of buying expensive collectors editions now, but I'm pretty chuffed with my purchase.

Also I rang in Yakuza 6 with some (cheap) Sake .

@RogerRoger They do seem to put a little extra into their Special Editions. The Persona 5 steel book is pretty much my most prized gaming possession.

I tend to end up selling on any gaming tat that I accumulate, but I'll be buried with my Vault Tec bobblehead...

Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.

@Fight_Teza_Fight Yes!!! I love the Persona 5 Steel Book. It must have sold terrible, because I got it almost a year after launch at my Wal-mart with a steelbook.

Jaz007

WanderingBullet

@Fight_Teza_Fight Nice! I actually pre-ordered both art and premium editions initially but decided to for former instead after watching the unboxing video for the premium edition. The glasses are quite nice but they're not something I look for in special editions. Another reason was the art book looked like it mainly only consist of fan art.

@Jaz007 The steelbook edition has sold on Amazon for quite sometime ago. Third party sellers are selling it at a premium price (above $100) now.

Jaz007

@WanderingBullet When did they sell it for a regular price? I got Persona 5 for $60 I think. (If not that, then $50). I got it late February.

Jaz007

WanderingBullet

@Jaz007 If you're asking about third party sellers at Amazon then I'm not sure but they tend to hike up the prices for special editions whenever Amazon runs out of stock.

Fight_Teza_Fight

@Jaz007 Persona 5 Day 1 edition came with the steelbook (just like Yakuza Kiwami). You were pretty lucky to find a launch edition a year post release, as Persona 5 sold out quickly in some places (hence the third party sellers charging what they want for it).

@WanderingBullet Yeah it's fan art. I like it though. Some very ermm 'distinct' art work. The creative mind of a Yakuza fan seems to be very similar to that of Majima himself .

@Fight_Teza_Fight Cool, there was one page with I think it was Haruka (fanart) and another two pages of official tattoo art that I really I like, though.

So it seems the Totaku line is doing well enough to get more figures!

I only thought that I'd want the Feisar FX350 and not buy any others unless they did more of the WipEout ships.
It seems the producers of the figures know their market rather well

The AG Systems FX350 ship is incoming, so that's a definite grab

So very tempted to get the Persona 5 soundtrack, but £60 seems excessive. I often import things from Japan, but when you randomly get hit by VAT, customs duty and the lovely Royal Mail fee, it's not always worth it.

@KALofKRYPTON That lemmings one is awesome! Where can you get them?

KALofKRYPTON

@mookysam The Totaku figures are GAME/EB Games/GameStop products their respective areas. But you can get them online from amazon and other outlets. The Lemming is due out next month I think.

If you have one of the stores near you though, I would strongly suggest that you buy in store so that you can inspect and compare the figures.
I have the Feisar WipEout ship; on comparison with the others in the GAME I bought it from, it had the best paint/decal applications.
I looked at most of the range they had, and did note fairly inconsistent paint applications on that first wave.

They are nice things, but not Disney Infinity figure or Amiibo quality.

One of my birthday presents last month was the Crash Tontaku figure. It's not flawless, but I'm impressed with it's quality.
