Üdü Wüdü by Magma. My first zeuhl album and I really really enjoyed it. All in a weird fictional language because hippies but it results in a crazy alien rock opera vibe. It’s probably less of a hard sell these days than back in the 70s though, with Sigur Rós being fairly big and also using a made-up language.
@render Saul Williams maybe. He had an album produced by Trent Reznor. It's his best imo. Album has a long name I don't remember. He also has a song from an earlier album called Act III Scene 2 which is probably one of the greatest rap/rock songs I've ever heard.

@render Fair warning his stuff's pretty out there but you can definitely make out Reznor's fingerprints on that particular album. The song WTF! is definitely the most NIN.

@Jimmer-jammer Thanks very much for that long, engaging and, I'm sure, thoroughly heartfelt review. I'm glad Bitches' Brew resonated as well with you as it has for many listeners over generations past and present. Speaking of jazz, I was at a jam session earlier, playing some standards, no fusion but I felt I did well and even got a couple of compliments for one of my solos. I'll keep it up, as long as my tastes don't change again. Did you get that Mingus recommendation I gave you a little while ago? I think the album was The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady, it would be great to know if you like that one as well, although don't feel obligated to give such an in-depth review. How are you anyway? How's the family? Long time since last spoke. Playing any good games? Gaming is on hold for me until December unless the community recommends something I can get into besides God of War Ragnarok and Hogwarts Legacy which are the only games I'm currently interested in, I'm totally immersed in jazz nowadays.... Anyway, take care.

@TheBrandedSwordsman That’s awesome that you’re getting out and jamming and kudos for doing so well at it! Haven’t listened to the Mingus one yet, kind of forgot about it to be honest so thanks for the reminder!
Yeah, we’re doing well here. Busy, busy but doing well. Been really enjoying Ghostwire: Tokyo. I’m right with you in looking forward to God of War Ragnarok! Do you jam with friends or with strangers or…how exactly does that work? Jazz seems so impulsive I kind of imagine a bunch of folks showing up to a dimly lit club and someone just starts and the rest follows. Good to hear from you!

@Jimmer-jammer Strangers, but I'd played with the trumpet player in that group a few times before, it's organized through a Meetup group on the internet, we just show up and play a number of set tunes that are listed on the website before the session. Good to hear from you as well, let me know what you think of The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady once you've listened to it.

@nessisonett honestly I hope not, although I miss late 90s and early 2000’s trance I am not sure I fancy a full blown resurgence. And if it brings us closer to a resurgence of the indie bo*locks we had to suffer in the 00’s that’s even worse!
Saw a group of young girls in crop tops and bell bottoms today though so maybe it’s too late. Can’t even grow a full head of hair anymore so crimping is out, too.
@render Ah it's not bad. I don't love it, I dunno. Maybe it will grow on me. I have been a bit off Jon Hopkins the last couple of years somehow. That Asleep Version of Immunity is cool though.
@kyleforrester87 It took me a few listens. I think listening to it on my speaker setup with a bit of volume helped. I'm with you on that version of Immunity though, amazing track anyway but with King Creosote it just really lifts it and is as good as anything on Diamond Mine.
