@cloudrunner64: Martinez is a billy booolshipper. He's very positive, I give him that - but he's managed to turn a great unit into a rubbish one. We can play good on any given day but then play terribly for two games. Naismith going was an error he put pressure on Lukaku and Barkley for a place. The pressure is getting to him - dud you see the lineup on Saturday? Crazy.

@Bazza78: Its a weird derby this year, our biggest games of the season are just around the corner (semi finals for both) and the prem is lost. Maybe Liverpool can still catch the Arsenal but its unlikely. So I cant imagine a fiery derby.

yeah i agree, derbies are normally tense and tight affairs, but this one will be more open i think. Which is why i smell goals .

I think Spurs chances of winning the league has increased now, simply because their form is currently better than Leicester's. Not to mention, Vardy might get a two game suspension.
Anyways, do you guys think Leicester will challenge for the top four/title again next season? I have a strange feeling they won't make it pass the Champions League group stage.
@WanderingBullet: No offence to Leicester, but next season they'll be lucky to finish in the top 10 in the prem, great achievement this year, but when you consider Leicester almost got relegated last season. Then you realize what a freak season they've had this term. That's why they were 5000 / 1 to win the prem at start of season!
No matter how Leicester perfom next season what they have achieved and the tactics they have utilised has made them shine. Nobody adapted to their style of play and expected them to just fade away. The premiere league this season has been poor quality the top teams have not performed well. Players getting paid to much and not performing every week. If Leicester were smart they would sell Vardy at the end of the season even though fans would hate it. Some players have that freak season where they perfom and everything goes right for them. Cash in while you can on these performances.
Leicester have been helped by not competing in Europe and the Domestic trophies - certainly not in the latter stages. I very much doubt they will be as competitive next year and I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they get dumped out of the CL at the group stages - and NOT end up in the Europa!
They have been helped by the collapse of Chelsea in particular. No one expected them to be as lowly as they are and not even challenging for a European spot. City haven't exactly maintained their level either. I know people expected Leicester to drop away and, had they been competing in domestic trophies, chances are they would have. Having a full week to recover and work on tactics, training ground routines, preparation etc has certainly helped them maintain the sharpness and speed but I also think they have been a bit lucky too in a number of matches they could easily of lost - a break away goal after being under pressure for the whole match, penalties awarded to them but not too opposition (Vardy has more penalties than anyone and how Huth has got away with some I don't know). I know you need a bit of luck but that can't last 2-3 seasons...

@Bazza78@themcnoisy Like noisy said, it's a weird derby considering it's practically meaningless - the best we can get is a Europa League place, and the best Everton can do is climb a little higher on the table. Considering the congested fixture list as well, I don't think this'll be a big match at all, though I imagine Klopp will play a relatively strong squad considering he played a team of youngsters against Bournemouth.
EDIT: If anyone hasn't seen the latest Liverpool Youtube video, you're missing out. I've got about a million gifs from it, it's hilarious.
I would prefer Martinez to concentrate on the FA Cup at the weekend the result either way tonight is meaningless. I would rather he rest some of the players so they are fresh for the FA Cup. Nothing he can do at this stage of the season will redeem him.
I would expect West Ham to win. Liverpool I hope will win but can be inconsistent - no doubt they will have the 'big' names back but still lacking a bit in midfield due to injuries - no Can, Henderson (maybe Lucas and Allen in?) It could also depend on Everton and their focus - at the end of the day, the only thing they can do is win the FA Cup - Liverpool 'could' still get 5th if results go their way and Utd have a few 'tough' games left too. The Hammers of course are chasing 5th too. Liverpool at least have an 'easy' game on paper at least against Newcastle so could rest a few before their Spanish trip. Palace you would think are safe but can still be dangerous. Both Everton and Utd face each other on Saturday whilst Watford and Palace at least have an extra day to recover. Its arguably more important for the Hammers and Utd tonight as both Watford and Palace are safe in the EPL with nothing much to play for other than a position or 2.
Its difficult to predict anything but 'home' wins for all 3 but the only one I am most confident in saying it will be a home win, is the Hammers vs Watford. Liverpool vs Everton, anything can happen being a local derby with local bragging rights at stake and the pressure Martinez is under but with the FA cup on the horizon, players could be rested or more 'cautious' about picking up red cards and missing out but we have also seen Liverpool 'struggle' to finish off games and can 'leak' goals too. My heart says Liverpool but then I am Bias! Obviously Utd have more to play for tonight - could qualify for the CL with citeh dropping points and with Palace looking to reach the FA cup final - especially after drawing Watford, its difficult to predict anything but a home win and had Utd not been playing Everton on Saturday, I would certainly say a home win here - I still think this could go either way - depending on how each team approach it and the team they put out. Utd could under-estimate what Palace plan...

@Bazza78: It was a terrible tackle and rightly got a red!! Origi is lucky he hasn't had his leg snapped in half!! That was a leg breaker! Absolutely ridiculous!!!
4-0 was kind to Everton - could so easily have been a lot more....

@BAMozzy: What made it worse is that after Funes mori got a red card , he appeared to celebrate the fact he nearly broke origis leg with the everton fans by badge kissing and fist pumping. Disgusting behaviour .
