Personally, I think that the Vita is missing some obvious apps. If you compare to phones (iOS / Android) which have millions why does the Vita only have like 16? I know most people say that have the apps on their phone so don't need it for Vita, but I really don't see why it can't be both.
I would like to see : * Reading app ideally compatible with Kindle. One can dream. * Calendar/appointment book * A PDF, Word, Excel readers etc, for email attachments. * A memo pad. * A calculator or spreadsheet. * A weather app * Ability to display flash content on the web. * Potentially some dedicated apps for Amazon/Ebay etc.
Do you agree? What apps would you like to see that aren't there?

Seeing as how youtube works great on Vita, I don't think it's out of the question to hope for apps from IGN, Gametrailers and Gamespot. Those are the 3 most used apps on my 360 and I would love to see Sony team with those companies to bring them to Vita and PS4.
I would love for the Vita's Youtube and Netflix apps to also get the cast button like Android and IOS devices have so I can use the Vita to control Google's Chromecast.

Yeah Im quite suprised that the Vita deosnt have one already. Its certainly feasabile with phones having Netflix. Its baffling how it isnt on the Vita when its on everything else lol Id much like a reading app myself. A port of Moon Reader+ from android would be awe inspiring
Thats the thing MadchesterManc the US have the app!
Whaaaaaaaaaaat? Seriously? man thats a low blow. The US deos seem to have the better entertainment services than we do in the UK on Ps3 so Vita is no suprise either I guess. I guess il stick to Youtube for streaming Bottom episodes
I would like the facebook app to improve so that i can send a picture or screenshot via a facebook message. would make it a lot easier to send a screenshot to a friend
I wish they'd add a calendar feature to Wake Up Club, with input scheduling and all.
Notepad and calendar should be put into a "Office app" type of deal. Also, the Skype app really needs text chatting on it. That would make life a LOT easier.
If phones can have eBay Mobile, then the Vita can DEFINITELY handle that.
As for the book reading app, just have a Sony Reader Library app. Sony does already have it's own Kindle-like thing going on for it, called Reader. https://ebookstore.sony.com/
Oh, and an app for PlayMemories Online, where you can upload videos and such. I already do it by plugging my Sony Handycam into my PS3 and just using PlayMemories Studio to upload it. It'd be so awesome if the PS Vita had this too for it's pictures and videos feature. Check it out: http://playmemoriesonline.com/
As for a weather app, or an Amazon one, the browser does fine for me, but an app for them would be a plus.
I'm sure the PS Vita isn't getting many apps because of licensing issues with other company (prime example: Skype), but hey, Sony already has so much of this covered within their own resources, why not make use of them?! Now that all of Sony's programs and such are all united under Sony Entertainment Network (SEN), the PS Vita can just use the account info you have in it already to log into these apps if they were made for the PS Vita.
Pandora would be the most ideal for me, especially if you could listen while playing games. Music Unlimited's randomized radio stations are absolutely nothing compared to Pandora.
The only other thing I want is an app for the playstation blog and the playstation forums.

Not an app but on the live screen of each game I'd like it if it showed you some info such as how long you've played the game and your Trophy count for it. Can't be that difficult, surely?
