In the day and age where physicals are on the decline, I am curious to know what was the last game you bought from a store on launch day?
For me, it was Skyrim for PS3, queuing at my local GAME at midnight to buy probably the wonkiest version of this Bethesda classic. The event itself was awesome as some dude walked down the line with polystyrene cups of tea.
I never did. By the time I had enough disposable income to afford games at launch, you could buy games digitally or get them ordered straight to your door, usually before it got released.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
I never attended a midnight launch, I’ve been a life long gamer and I’ve been super excited for the release of many games but it always struck me as a little sad to line up or attend a midnight launch, I don’t know why. I don’t mean to offend anybody and don’t judge those people now, but it is not for me. It’s the same with midnight digital releases, I’m usually exhausted… I’ll just play it in the morning 😂
@kyleforrester87 I played a couple of games when they dropped at midnight during lockdown, but I've not done it since. I opened a jar of jam at the same time and smeared it everywhere each time too.

My first and last was June 2008. It was for the PS3 Metal Gear 4 Bundle, also purchased was GTA 4 and game guide.
The main purchase was for the PS3. It was the new 80GB Fat model that still had 4 usb ports, card readers , and played PS2 games using emulation.
I remember how huge and heavy it was compared to the little PS2 slim I was using. Long story short is that 80Gb Fat was noisy and not durable. 18 months later I purchased the new 120GB slim PS3 that is quiet and durable as it still works well.
