For other PlayStation PC games you should add Nioh and Nioh 2
They were published by Sony Interactive Entertainment on PS4/PS5 but are published by Koei Tecmo themselves on Steam
One day this list will have Bloodborne & Spider-Man...one day
Days gone and Horizon will have a second game for the PS5, so is understandable for me
@TheFrenchiestFry Good shout, will add Nioh now.
The Steam links for Flower and Rapture link to Detroit, by the way.
@Orpheus79V Thanks! Corrected.
@get2sammyb Just a little fix, Unfinished Swan was developed by Giant Sparrow, not Thatgamecompany
@RazielReaper Thanks, fixed!
So apart from the obvious ie: we have nothing to report so we need something to encourage user interaction ,rile ps fans....what other reason is this post on a ps centric website?
@vapidwolf Thanks for your feedback. I thought readers would be interested in a catalogued list of released and upcoming PlayStation games that are available to play on PC.
This might not interest you, but I'm feeling pretty confident others will find it useful.
What about Uncharted and Last Of Us or do those not count?
@KnightRider1982 Not currently announced for PC.
Pretty certain that PC gamers know what's out there. Who is this article for exactly?
@Shigurui It was for me, a PC gamer that only knew that Helldivers and Horizon Zero Dawn were on this list.
SONY
GET BLOODBORNE ON HERE
DEMON’S SOULS WHILE YOU’RE AT IT
K THX
NINJA APPROVED
@KnightRider1982 No they don't because thez are still PS exclusive. Maybe in the future
@BloodNinja - My bad, I meant to write PS gamer. As a PS site I'm not sure it would be relevant to most people here. At least someone learned something eh.
@Shigurui shock horror, some PS gamers also have PCs
I know, right! THE HORROR
what I really don't understand though is why someone would click on and comment on an article they're not interested in rather than showing genuine non-interest and just leaving it alone. Sure we're stuck at home, but there's a big, wide internet just outside your (browser) window!
@danlk1ng - I don't understand why someone would click into an article to add nothing to it but try to bait. I asked a question pertinent to the article. You posted to have a pop at me.
@Shigurui No worries! I have a PS4 and a PC, so it's always interesting when I have an opportunity to play an upgraded version of a PS4 game.
NINJA APPROVED
Sony should release their own PC store/launcher, cut out the middle man as it were. Maybe they will in the future, i am sure people will not mind adding another launcher. I myself use two, steam and GOG for example.
Sell out Sony
@get2sammyb yeah yeah we all know why it was published, no need to get defensive 😂 I'd say the majority of your readers already own a playstation being a you know a playstation site,and as all the games that are now available on pc also and in the future will be high profile games, I guess they will they own those too, also the title of the article is all playstation studio games available on pc of which their is two,so decided to fill the rest with games that Sony published or had a hand in the pie,slow day I guess,maybe a review of like a dragon on ps5 would be more fitting?
@Shigurui we all know why the article was posted ,it seems push square seems to be going down this route a lot recently ,poor form id say ,news articles are fine but to make a permanent fixture on exclusive games that are no longer exclusive is pure baiting.
Any one care to guess at the number of PC games that have been ported to PlayStation? Games that where launched as PC only at first. Many games that now days, day and date launch on both platforms. It would be a very sad time if PC games took the ONLY on PC direction.
@JohnKarnes irrelevant, the pc platform isn't owned by one particular company.
@JohnKarnes Diablo's a pretty big one I'm pretty sure. DOOM's another big example even though by that point it had been ported to numerous consoles. There's also Half-Life, Portal 2, Deus Ex, UFO Enemy Unknown, the first two Baldur's Gate games, Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2, there's tons of examples
There are also still a bunch of Windows-exclusive games even today, it's just that multiplats are just a lot more commonplace
Really been hoping for something like this to keep tabs on what's available. I think it's really cool to have a small portion of games available for PC players. I hope some games that didn't really get the time of day for whatever reason are ported too. I think if The Order 1886 re-released on Steam at a generous price ($10?) it might get a second look, and then we can enjoy lots of video essays on 'giving the order a second chance'. A lower price point could hugely change the popular opinion on what I think was a fine game.
Another great port would be Until Dawn, that's a dish of a game. PC players would eat it up!
Why not include every "exclusive" game and simply set the date to TBA until the game drops? We all know Sony will give every game eventually, so since you made this list, might as well save yourselves some time.
I have no issue at all. I have lots of friends that are PC nuts who got or want a PS5. I have an issue with MS buying up everything and if it doesn't sell they'll act like it never existed. Conker, PGR driving game, Rare studios, Scale-bound.
@vapidwolf Software distributor Steam come very close! But each developer has a choice to port or not also.
@Eadgar You say that. But PC gamers are very much "Steam or no buy" very few actually bother with service like GoG or other platforms. There is a reason that both Microsoft and EA are now selling on Steam. The only reason Epic is able to do well is cause they are basically giving away free games every week.
"HOW DARE YOU WRITE ABOUT ANYTHING OTHER THAN PLAYSTATION!!"
Just kidding. People are dumb.
@TheFrenchiestFry That is the reason I have no problem with some PlayStation exclusive games going to PC after 1-2- or 3 years. PC gamers had a big issue with PC games going to console. PC gamers are a big Part of Sony PlayStations fans and own one as well as a PC. Some will never want to wait years for new PlayStation titles.
PS: Elite Dangerous and Diablo made me so happy coming to PlayStation. Although I had played them on PC also.
@Floki I guess these people are not very different from "console fanboys" are they. Maybe we should call them "steam fanboys" lol.
Thanks for the helpful list, don't get why there are critics in the comments.
@JohnKarnes agreed but none of those companies own the platform they make games on,they aren't going to benefit from pc sales if they make a great game on pc which cause pc sales to rise,thats the difference ,I don't disagree with ps games being on other platforms as long as it doesn't affect the quality of those games,thats my only issue ,the last thing we want is Sony churning out game after game to make a few quid on pc.
@KidBoruto there's only two games available ,why not make an article stating all xbox studio games on playstation or all pc games on ps,its nothing but click bait to encourage reader Interaction,I don't have a problem with that but let's be honest about it.
I wish there was NONE :-/ Are you reading this Jim Ryan(probably not. He thinks if one person on the Internet says 'i don't mind PS games going to PC' he then thinks we 'ALL' want that to) :-/ + a REAL PS Fan since the PS1 days would never like the idea of PS Exclusives going to PC.
@PhhhCough yeah it must be so hard for a playstation website to find news on playstation ,nobody has a problem with reporting the news ,but why make it a permanent feature,sky news pulls this type of crap.
@BloodNinja youre desperate to make NINJA APPROVED a thing aren't you buddy 😂
@Eadgar sony invested money in epic games , so they do have a stake in the games launcher.
@RayNick with that logic then might as well add unconfirmed ps5 games then , like silent hill , or metal gear solid remake
@twitchtvpat no, those games are rumours at best, while Sony has stated multiple times that more games will release on PC, it's not a stretch to say at this point most, if not all, "exclusives" will also come to PC 3-4 years after release. Probably sooner as time goes on.
@vapidwolf Make it a thing? I'm not sure what you mean by that. I just put it because I'm a ninja and I'm displaying my approval/disapproval for things.
days gone on pc , taking out hordes no frames droped lol
@BloodNinja ah! the Internet such a rich tapestry of people.
@Mad001 unlike yourself who it seems droped out of a few English lessons.
@vapidwolf I love that, I've never looked at it that way, but you're right and that's beautiful.
NINJA APPROVED
@BloodNinja Guessing you the same person who goes by thevideogameninja on other publications? Never saw you with a pfp before.
And nice for PC folks. I hope Days Gone sells well.
Predator: Hunting Grounds
For PS4 & Is available on PC at Epic Games store on PC.
@Isak I am a different human, and I have no idea what a pfp is.
NINJA APPROVED
@BloodNinja Lol this is one helluva coincidence. There's a guy who goes by the username "thevideogameninja" on the comment sections of publications like Polygon, IGN etc. I see him time to time. And like you, he ends his posts with "Video Game Ninja Approved". PFP is short for Profile Picture.
@Isak HA! I’ll have to message him and see what happens.
NINJA APPROVED
@vapidwolf 👍
Guess we're adding Erica to the list as well now
Ponies, look away now.
flOw isn't on here, although it's a free browser game on PC.
I think Push should provide the popcorns in the comments too though 🍿🥛
Although it's not a new game (as such), the remaster of uc4 coming to ps5 and pc same date is something I'm surprised hasn't been spoken about before. People were getting bent out of shape about the fact that day and date releases might be a thing for potential other releases, but nothing has seemingly been said about this. Testing the waters for the response I guess 🤷♂️
@Royalblues
Hi man. If what you say happens then there would be no real reason to own an Xbox or a PlayStation console. That would be the beginning of the end for console gaming. I don’t think that will happen soon though.
My opinion.
@JJ2 Would it though? I dare say there’s a lot more casual gamers out there who prefer to sit on their sofa for a quick game of their favourite game than PC gamers who sit at a desk. I don’t see consoles going anywhere at all unless Sony and Microsoft stop manufacturing them because they’ve come up with something else where you can game on the go, like Nintendo have do for many years and Xbox going the same way with Xbox Cloud Gaming.
You can check here how they run on Proton
https://www.protondb.com/app/1259420
And see if compatible on SteamDeck out of the box.
@MaccaMUFC
Yeah, I do not see it going away either.
I have had 2 launch errors on PC GamePass where the game would simply not boot.
After hrs I found this - and it was the "Gaming Services app"
https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxGamePass/comments/nn4y6y/how_to_fix_gaming_services_and_xbox_app_on/
And also had to rollback my Nvidia drivers because 496.13 12th update was not playing nice on my rig.
As long as we have Windows Mickey Ware there will be a "Plug and Play" console market. Not everyone wants to (or can) deal with Windows.
Even simple things like "Suspend" are not a guarantee to work on PC.
@Royalblues
@MaccaMUFC
I mean I think at some point you’d see a lot of console like hardware ‘clones’ just as easy to use but in reality they would be PC giving you access to everything. The few reasons to own a branded Xbox or PS hardware would go out of the window fast.
@MaccaMUFC Most here don't seem to get that the majority of console owners are casual gamers. They're not buying high-end gaming PC's. They're buying what their mates have.
PC's will never take over consoles for a place in the living room...regardless of games hitting both day 1.
But that doesn't mean there's always going to be a place for consoles. At some point MS and Sony will surely shift full focus on streaming. That's clearly the aim...get a gamepass app readily available on any smart TV. It's their services that make money, not particularly the hardware.
So apps are the future of the living room...certainly not PC.
@Carl-G You're gonna have to learn to accept that playstation exclusives will hit pc. Sony are following in Microsofts footsteps. Don't try and console yourself with "at least they're last gen games' either...soon they'll be day 1 ps5 games hitting PC also. It's inevitable.
What you should be focusing your anger on is why are you being treated differently as a playstation consumer? Why are you being asked to pay additional chargers for the exact same games? As multiplayer is still behind a paywall for you and not for their PC versions.
This is something that annoys me with MS. Phil Spencer telling me that I'm valued and games coming to pc benefit me also...yet at the same time treating me differently by locking content on these shared games. More questionable when there's such a push for cross platform play now in MP games.
I love watching fanboys having a neckbeard meltdown over Sony games going to other platforms years after initial release. It’s such infantile tribalism. Can’t help but laugh.
..and no, this doesn’t mean Sony first-party games will starting launching on PC simultaneously. That’s utterly moronic, slippery slope scaremongering.
They have majority market share with consoles. Diluting that is dumb. Especially using another platform which is rife with piracy.
End of an era. I see no point in buying future Playstation hardware when I can get all PC, Xbox and soon Playstation games on one platform.
How about we have a list of every PC game you can get on Playstation?
I bet its more then 15.
Well, I'll still be buying every PS released, for the simple fact that consoles are by far the cheapest way to play games at a high quality and a offer no fuss sit on the sofa play experience. And I'm someone that always has very powerful PC's at home for work use. I mean my current home office PC has 16 cores, 64 Gigs of RAM and 2 RTX 3900 . Not built for gaming, built to do work and It works hard. Of course I could sit in my office on game on it, I do very occasionally but when I sit at my desk I think work and so I end up doing work, My sons have Ryzen3800/rtx2080 pc's they use for school, coding, CAD, DAW and Gaming but even they like to sit back in the games room and play on the big screen. Its social, its no fuss and its away from work.
Even a decent PC will cost you £2K and you will need to update it 2 or 3 times before the PS6 releases if you want to play the latest games. Its really hard to understand gamers sometimes
@Futureshark because there's no such thing as "PC game studios" nor is there really any such thing as "PC exclusivity".
Games might be exclusive to particular platforms on PC (steam, epic, GOG etc) but for the most part the only reason a game is only available on PC is because the developer hasn't ported it to a console. And there are various reasons why a developer would release on PC only (e.g. they're only a small developer and don't have the resources to release on both PC and console effectively), but for the most part these are practical reasons rather than the existence of an exclusivity deal - so it's not remotely the same
Yeah sorry you kind of missed my point.
I was facetiously trying to underline the complete pointlessness of this article.
@Futureshark well yeah I can't argue with that. It is pretty pointless
Still, the distinct category of "playstation games" used by this article is not a bad one, since it's looking at games funded and published by Sony (whether developed in house or by a third party) - not merely games that happen to only have been available on playstation for any other reason.
But yeah, as articles go it's definitely in the "mostly useless clickbait" category
It’s endlessly cringey that some PS owners have a problem with (sometimes years) old games being ported to PC.
If you were that desperate to play these games you would have already bought them. Every single one of these games is frequently and heavily discounted on the PS Store. Get a grip…
Business wise, sticking 4 year old PS4 games onto PC is called "Money for old rope".
The fact Sony has done an excellent job with the port will only maximise the new audience and sales of the title, whilst also popping the brand into the mind of those PC gamers who are potential PS5 owners when GoW:Ragnarok is released.
It's a win-win really, something I have no problem with.
However I do believe it's a bit disingenuous to believe PC ports of PS exclusives will start to appear sooner then 3-4 years after their now PS5 release. It's these tentpole titles that sell consoles which Sony will not want to dilute by producing a PC version day 1.
@vapidwolf " yeah we all know why it was published, no need to get defensive "
You don't speak for the rest of us here. Looks like you're the one that got defensive.
@TheFrenchiestFry yea one day but not anytime soon. I think they will release the spiderman game close to the release of the sequel next year. genius plan.
@BloodNinja this isn't a sony channel lol.
Final Fantasy VII was originally made for PSone and published by Sony internationally but Eidos later made a PC port, which Square Enix released for modern consoles, including non-PlayStation consoles.
Final Fantasy IV, V, VI, VIII and X were also published by Sony in Europe on PSone and PS2 but Square Enix would later release these games on PC, with Eidos making an FF8 PC port and Virtuos making an FF10 port.
