Been a great few weeks for me. 21 hrs into Valhalla (having a blast) looks like a good bang for the buck like Odyssey.

My December game will be Demon's Souls. I wasn't certain at first, but PS5's social features sold the game for me. I watched my friend play Demon's Souls in Picture-in-Picture mode, while playing Miles Morales; so looking forward to playing it with him now.

Astrobot has given me a thirst for more platforming! Will pick up Sackboy as soon as I sell my PS4 pro!

@ShohunRok Hey, are you guys planning on a Worms Rumble review? The game looks mixed to me personally, so I want to see reviews first before playing it through PS Plus.

How on earth did AC:V get an 8/10? Your review was pretty... honest? Let's say honest, maybe harsh, even. But really, if an identical game came out today but it didn't have the AC title it would get way lower scores. Brand loyalty and nostalgia skews reviews.

Loving Demon’s Souls. I beat it last night and I’m looking to get the platinum by the 10th. All rings is by far the hardest part because of the character tendency requirements.

My fiancé is also playing Until Dawn and I enjoy watching her fail all the QTEs lol.

@B_Lindz I’m currently sitting at 50 hours in, and in no way am slowing down. Curious to know; what about it don’t you like?

@B_Lindz Isn’t it more the opposite with Assassin’s Creed? It doesn’t exactly have the best of reputations now and plenty people wrote it off before it even came out.

@Slippship By every metric, they represent the minority. Kept me entertained for 89hrs.

Appreciate articles like this - have played Astro, Dirt 5 and Spiderman remastered (before getting to Miles), but I have been eyeing a couple of others on the list. Only had a slim before so PS4 games look and play great too.

But somehow we need to rise up against scalpers.
Amazon PS5 stock went in about 3 minutes.
Bots totally took over.
And what is so sick, is I have just seen adverts on the usual sites, scalpers asking £750 and showing photos of their Amazon delivery by tomorrow.
I don’t think these sites all off them give a dam as long as they get their money.
Maybe Sony might as this will hinder sales of games and other items.
I’m noticing head sets and media remotes are hanging around still up for sale for far to long compared to the amount of consoles sold, probably to scalpers.
I’m sure Amazon, Game etc are not doing enough to stop this.

With such a short list, I wonder which of these games will be free in Feb

Well the PS5 is almost becoming a scalpers market to buy and sell.
This will not be good for gamers or Sony.

@Dezzy70 It really is disgusting, they are still hovering like vultures over new stocks that are currently being dropped by various retailers. They aren't satisfied till they can fill their apartments or their mom's basements with PS5s.

As much as I enjoyed the Demon's Souls remake, WRC 9 is my favorite PS5 game so far. Best rally game I have every played and makes excellent use of the PS5's features

Even worse this morning, some are picking stock up from Argos UK and they are already up for sale for a high price.
This is obviously a smaller scalping operation.
We need more stock Sony and Microsoft, else this is not going to go away.

The PS5 games I have enjoyed a lot so far are Demon's Souls Remake, Astro's Playroom, Miles Morales. I only wish Miles Morales wasn't so short and had a less cliché antagonist motivation cause we've already experienced that with Doc Ock. Other than that the swinging is the best it has ever been in a Spiderman game.

Loved getting everything in Astro's Playroom, completed Miles Morales but need to platinum that and Spider-Man remastered again, played a few hours of Valhalla, enjoyed that so far, I don't actually mind Watch Dogs Legion despite what most think, enjoying Devil May Cry 5, and a bit of Sackboy with my little boy, and I'm thinking of getting Demons Souls but I'm a bit worried of how hard it might be for me 😂

The lack of system seller blockbuster is helping to ease the pain of not being able to get my hands on a PS5

@RenanKJ Demon Souls on PS5 is really amazing, even after finishing the Plat I still log in just to enjoy the beauty of it.

5/10 for watch dogs legion is a mistake. no way that game gets that rating. You all are harsh. That should at least get a 6. It wasn't that bad

There's nothing there to justify purchasing a PS5 at this point IMO. I think it's been a really weird start to this gen with so many of the good games being on PS4 too. I'll stick with my Pro for now until there's something worth buying.

I've just purchased my first PS5 game well before I plan to buy a PS5. I always do this, build a game collection for a console I don't own and then buy the console a couple of years later when the improved model arrives.

I have a problem.

Watch Dogs Legion is underrated. I would give it an 8,5/10

@Nintendo4Sonic I wrote that back in January and stand by the comment. I’ve since got a PS5 and have completed Watch Dogs Legion (agree it’s much better than a 5/10) but the lack of exclusives which I was bemoaning is still true.

@r1chard Sure, not every Sony Studios game on PS5 is PS5 only. But the selection is still awesome in my opinion. I still have a good time with Spiderman, Sackboy is an overlooked gem. I didn't get Demon Souls since it's not my genre.
Now we have Returnal and soon Ratchet and Clank. And Sony does an amazing job for PS Plus owners. For around 1/2 year that's a lot.

Look at the Nintendo/Microsoft front, where nothing is happening. Microsoft has a strong hardware with old dashboard and old controller. Not a single exklusive besides The Medium and this is just mediocre.
Switch stands still with full price remasters.

I think Playstation users are experiencing the best stuff by far.

@Nintendo4Sonic I agree and wrote the comment as a former PS4 Pro owner. If I hadn’t got a PS5 I think I would have equally enjoyed Watch Dogs Legion on PS4. So not sure what ‘talking crap’ you’re going on about.

I know this is probably the wrong place to start a discussion about it, but considering I recently beat Tales of Arise, I am really, really struggling with the universal acclaim it received.

The first 35 hours of the game are really good. But did players and reviewers not play the last 10-15 hours of the game? It's miserable and the Xenogears comparisons are obvious. But almost no review came with the caveat "just stop playing the game once the second opening scene starts."

I guess 7/10 really is the average after all...

And hey, 124 PS5 reviews one year into its lifecycle isn't so bad!

How many of those ps5 reviews were for games that weren't also on last gen consoles

With a couple of exceptions, what a sorry ass line up nearly a year after launch.

@MythicWarfare It's possible! It would be one hell of a big list, but if people would find it helpful, then we can certainly look into it.

Looks like PSVR2 games are being overrated. I say this as a PSVR2 owner. Most of those PSVR2 9/10's would be 6's or 7/10's if they weren't VR compatible. That might even be a little generous... The only real PSVR2 9/10 would be Gran Turismo 7, in my opinion. I don't think a PSVR2 10/10 exists yet.
