There are 10 Origami Butterflies to find in the game. When exploring the Izumi Settsu region early in the game, you will encounter an NPC called the Gamemaker, who gives you The Butterfly Collector quest. The first step is to find Origami Butterflies hidden throughout Osaka, and they're not marked on your map — you have to find them yourself.

All of them are pinned to trees in the environment, and there'll be a swarm of butterflies surrounding them to indicate there's an Origami Butterfly there. Below you'll find all Origami Butterflies locations.

Origami Butterfly #1

On the eastern edge of the Temple of Osaka area
Just south of the Osaka Kakurega icon, follow the river south
You'll come to a right-hand bend, and in front will be two trees
On the left-hand tree is the Origami Butterfly

Along the southern edge of the Temple of Osaka area
Next to the river is a tree with the Origami Butterfly pinned to it

Slightly southwest of the white icon for the Temple of Osaka on the map is a small shrine area
Pinned to one of the trees behind the shrine is the Origami Butterfly

Along the northern edge of the Temple of Osaka itself
This red Origami Butterfly is pinned to a tree there

Along the western shore of the Temple of Osaka, on the right side of the river
Just north of the bridge, on a tree inside a bush, is the Origami Butterfly

Just before the bridge leading south is a horse stable, and the Origami Butterfly is behind it on the tree

Across the river to the north of the Temple of Osaka, look for the bridge connecting the area to the western island
Just south of the bridge is a place where the two rivers meet
On the shore to the right of the meeting point is a tree with the Origami Butterfly pinned to it

Just north of the Osaka Kakurega icon in the Temple of Osaka is a bridge you can cross
Between it and a second bridge to the north is a large tree with the Origami Butterfly pinned to it

Towards the southern edge in an enclosed garden is the Origami Butterfly
