Assassin's Creed Shadows: How to Switch Weapons

How do you switch weapons in Assassin's Creed Shadows? No matter whether you're playing as Naoe or Yasuke, you can have two weapons equipped to your loadout to expand your capabilities. In this Assassin's Creed Shadows guide, we're going to reveal how to switch weapons.

How Do You Switch Weapons in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

On PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the option to switch weapons is mapped to Right on the D-Pad. However, what happens in the game depends on how long you press the button for. There are two interactions mapped to the button:

• A short press will switch weapons, from primary to secondary and vice versa
• A long hold will sheath your weapon and unequip it

If you're finding yourself wanting to swap weapons but end up unequipping them, experiment with a shorter press while outside of combat. It is recommended to have a different type of weapon equipped to your secondary slot, like a Teppo for Yasuke so you can engage enemies at long range.
