How do you unlock Allies in Assassin's Creed Shadows and upgrade them? A large part of the Hideout mechanic is recruiting people to your cause and gaining the ability to call upon their help during combat. However, how do you actually do that? In this Assassin's Creed Shadows guide, we're going to reveal how to unlock Allies and upgrade them.
How Do You Unlock Allies in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

Allies can be recruited and will join your forces if you help them with their own quests that they offer you. An example in the early game is Yaya, who will likely be your first ally after you help her through an optional questline that springs off of the main story.
It's not always clear who will turn into a proper ally you can call upon and who's just a friendly face on the big Objectives board, but if there's a fighter in them, then there's a good chance they can join you as one of your official Allies. You can then manage Allies from Kakuregas throughout the open world, customising their outfit and unlocking new abilities.
How Do You Use Allies in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

How Do You Upgrade Allies in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

- In the Dojo, you can train and improve your Allies, with the first level increasing them up to Initiate rank
