Looking for all Chronolith locations in Final Fantasy 16? Chronoliths are magical monuments found out in the wilds, and later in the game, Clive can access them in order to take on challenging combat trials. In this Final Fantasy 16 guide, we're going to list each Chronolith with its location and what trails await within.
Final Fantasy 16: All Chronolith Locations
You can find a couple of Chonoliths long before Clive can actually use them, and they'll be marked on your map automatically.
Once Chronoliths start responding to Clive's presence later in the game, you'll be gain access to the aforementioned combat trials. Each Chronolith has its own specific challenges, based on a particular Eikon and its abilities. Trials limit your equipped abilities, and task you with defeating several waves of enemies within a time limit.
The trails themselves are quite tough, and may take a bit of practice — but they're a great way to introduce yourself to Eikon abilities that you may have otherwise overlooked.
Completing every trial rewards you with a curiosity that's added to Clive's room. Our guide on Final Fantasy 16: All Curiosities for the Wall of Memories has all of the relevant information on Curiosities and how to complete your collection.
Completing a Chronolith also unlocks a harder version of the trials back at The Hideaway — just in case you're looking for an even greater challenge.
There are seven Chronoliths in total.
Chronolith 1 - The Hand of Hyperion
The first Chronolith that you'll likely stumble across during Clive's adventures is found north of Martha's Rest, following the path through Greensheaves. It's hard to miss.
You're forced to use Phoenix for this trial.
Chronolith 2 - The Hand of Iapetus
The second Chronolith is another that you'll probably find long before Clive can make use of it. It's located in the Norvent Valley, north of the Caer Norvent River Gate fast travel point, across the bridge, and up a dead end path.
You're forced to use Ramuh for this trial.
Chronolith 3 - The Hand of Mimas
The third Chronolith is found all the way at the western end of the Royal Meadows, up the hill at Cape Orsiere.
You're forced to use Bahamut for this trial.
Chronolith 4 - The Hand of Titan
The fourth Chronolith is located in The Northern Velkroy Desert, in a dead end past all of the ruins and the sandstorm.
As the name suggests, you're forced to use Titan for this trial.
Chronolith 5 - The Hand of Dione
The fifth Chronolith is just south of The Krozjit Echoes fast travel point. However, to actually get to it, you'll need to navigate the roads that lie below in the Drakos Deep. The closest fast travel point is Laetny's Cleft, which is to the northeast.
You're forced to use Garuda for this trial.
Chronolith 6 - The Hand of Rhea
The sixth Chronolith is found at the end of a very narrow path in the south of The Angry Gap in Waloed. You'll be able to see the path itself on your map once you've discovered the area.
You're forced to use Shiva for this trial.
Chronolith 7 - The Hand of Enceladus
The seventh and final Chonolith is found in Waloed, in the south of Vidargraes, past The Badbach Conservatory.
You're forced to use Odin for this trial.
