Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Trophy Guide: All Trophies and How to Unlock the Platinum

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Trophy Guide: All Trophies and How to Unlock the Platinum 1

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has 61 Trophies, consisting of 54 Bronze Trophies, 5 Silver Trophies, 1 Gold Trophy, and finally the Platinum Trophy. In this part of our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Trophy Guide, we shall reveal our Trophy Roadmap and then cover whether there are any Missable Trophies or Difficulty Related Trophies.

Are There Any Missable Trophies?

Because of the fact you unlock Chapter Select after beating the game, there are no Missable Trophies you will need to watch out for. You can return to every Main Chapter after rolling the credits, so you're not stopped from unlocking any Trophies or activities related to earning them.

Do Difficulty Options Affect Trophies?

Yes, there's a Trophy for completing all the Main Chapters on Hard Mode, which isn't unlocked until you beat the game for the first time. You can unlock all the other Trophies on Normal, Easy, or Dynamic, but you'll have to go through all the Main Chapters again on Hard Mode. Sort of acting as a stand-in for a New Game+ option, refer to our How to Unlock Hard Mode and How It Works guide for more information.

I Got This

Bronze: Win a Battle.

You'll unlock this Trophy automatically after completing your first encounter in Chapter 1, along the road up to Mt. Nibel.

Exploitative Practices

Bronze: Exploit an enemy's weakness.

To learn what an enemy's weakness is, you must equip a Materia called Assess and then use it in battle (it's listed under the Abilities tab). In the top-right corner, you will then see an enemy's weaknesses. Use the corresponding Spell and the Trophy will unlock.

Unfettered Friendship

Bronze: Free a bound ally.

During certain combat scenarios — boss fights in particular — an enemy will grab either you or a party member and take them out of the battle. When this happens, control another character and attack the enemy until they drop the team member. The Trophy will then unlock.

Staggered Learning

Bronze: Stagger an enemy.

This will almost certainly be the first Trophy you unlock in the game. You shall have the chance to stagger an enemy in Chapter 1, on the road up to Mt. Nibel. You stagger an enemy by filling up the orange bar below its health meter, which is done by attacking consistently. Do so and you'll unlock the Trophy.

Break It Down

Bronze: Use a limit break.

You'll be prompted to use a Limit Break in the fight against the Materia Guardian during Chapter 1, so this Trophy is essentially unmissable.

Fledgling Summoner

Bronze: Invoke a summon.

Occasionally during a combat encounter, a summon meter will fill up on the right-hand side of the screen. Once this is filled, you can summon the likes of Ifrit and unlock the Trophy.

Team Player

Bronze: Use a synergy skill.

You can perform a synergy skill by holding R1 during combat and pressing any of the buttons next to a highlighted attack. Simply do this once and the Trophy will unlock.

No "I" in "Synergy"

Bronze: Use a synergy ability.

You'll unlock this Trophy automatically in Chapter 1. During the fight against the Materia Guardian, the game will prompt you to use a Synergy Ability called Double Helix.

Entering New Markets

Bronze: Complete a Quest.

This Trophy refers to the Side Quests you can start in Chapter 2, with the green markers. You can find a full list of them in our All Quests guide, but completing any one of them unlocks the Trophy.

Weapons 101

Bronze: Max out a weapon ability's proficiency.

You can view a weapon ability's proficiency level on the pause menu, where using it in a certain way — for example, staggering enemies or exploiting weaknesses — increases a meter. Once that meter is full, you'll unlock the Trophy.

A Materia World

Bronze: Level up an orb of materia.

You won't need to think about this Trophy; it'll unlock naturally as you play and win battles. You upgrade Materia by using them during combat, and you'll want to be doing exactly that as much as possible.

New Blood

Bronze: Raise your Queen's Blood rank.

In order to increase your Queen's Blood rank, you need to defeat other players. The first rank increase requires three wins against other players, who are marked on your map.

Caching In

Bronze: Complete your search of a cache location.

A cache location is marked on your map as a chest, though you have to find it yourself before it appears there. It's a collection of items and chests situated around a unique building or object in the environment, and you'll unlock the Trophy once you've gathered all the supplies at one of these locations. You'll likely find a cache location on the way to the Abandoned Dock during Chapter 2; it's just to the left of the main path.

I Brake for Chocobos

Bronze: Repair three chocobo stops.

As you're exploring the open world on a Chocobo, you'll sometimes encounter a baby Chocobo. Follow it and it'll take you to a Chocobo Stop. You need to hold Triangle on the sign that's fallen over to repair it, and repeating this process two more times unlocks the Trophy.

Expert Ex-kweh-vator

Bronze: Use a chocobo to find two treasures buried by rabbits.

While you're riding a Chocobo, you'll occasionally get a blue question mark appearing above its head. When this happens, hold Up on the D-Pad to let your Chocobo sniff the area. A directional pointer will then appear around the question mark, allowing you to pinpoint the treasure. When you get close enough, a blue line should appear on-screen to its exact location, allowing you to press Down on the D-Pad to dig the treasure up. Do this twice and the Trophy will unlock.

You Work for Me Now

Bronze: Defeat a summon in battle and obtain its materia.

You can do this with Chadley's combat simulations. If you select the Summons tab, you can fight the likes of Titan, Odin, and Phoenix. Beat any of these and you'll get their Materia, thus unlocking the Trophy.

Intelligence Aide

Bronze: Gather world intel at five separate locations.

World Intel is gathered at all of the orange markers you'll find when you look at your map in the open world. Simply complete five of these activities in a single region and the Trophy is yours.

Intelligence Specialist

Bronze: Gather world intel at fifty separate locations.

Across all the regions in the game, complete fifty of the orange icons on the map and you'll unlock the Trophy.

Director of Regional Intelligence

Bronze: Gather all pieces of world intel in a region.

When looking at your map for any region, the information in the bottom-left corner of the screen tracks your World Intel progress there. Complete all the activities and fill the bar fully in a single region to unlock this Trophy.

Founder's Bonus

Bronze: Obtain a protorelic in the grasslands.

To earn Protorelics, you need to complete the Phenomenon Intel activities in each Region. There are 4 for each one, and they use an icon that looks like a glowing red and yellow chest. Once you've finished them all in the Grasslands, this Trophy will unlock.

Bladesman of Legend

Silver: Defeat Gilgamesh.

The boss encounter with Gilgamesh is tied to collecting all the Protorelics in the game, also known as Phenomenon Intel in-game. Once you've gathered all the ones available in each Region, Chadley will inform you of a new location called Gilgamesh Island appearing. Go here and complete another four Phenomenon Intel activities, and then you can fight Gilgamesh for the Trophy.

Moogle Lover

Bronze: Max out your moogle emporium merchant rank.

The maximum merchant rank for the Moogle Emporium is 7. You can increase your rank by completing the Moogle Intel activities you'll find in each Region. Once you've finished them all, the Trophy will unlock.

Silver: Develop all possible materia together with Chadley.

Chadley will be unlocked as an NPC during Chapter 2 - A New Journey Begins. If you interact with him, he'll have a Materia screen as an option where you can develop and purchase Materia. You can buy these Materia using the points you collect from completing World Intel activities, with a different range of Materia on offer in different Regions. Having accumulated enough World Intel points in each Region, spend them on the Materia offered by Chadley and you'll unlock the Trophy once you've bought every one.

Staggering Success
