Guide: All PS4 Pro Enhanced Games

To be honest, I'm good with my 2015-spec PS4. I'd only buy into a Pro at this point if something went horrendously wrong with my current system. I know we've still got a good while left with the PS4 platform as Sony's flagship gaming platform, but to me it kinda feels late in the generation to upgrade, especially with talk of the PS5 ramping up.

@get2sammyb yeah, and with the PS5 rumored (and highly likely) to be backward compatible with PS4, I think I'll ride out the rest of this generation with my OG and upgrade to PS5 maybe a year or so in, when most of the early hardware bugs have been squashed.
That said, I really hope there is no 'PS5 Pro' next generation. Just make the launch version well powerful and refine from there.

I'm curious. What does the Pro do for KH1.5+2.5? I hope KH3 doesn't need the Pro to run smoothly, like KH0.2BBSAFP

@KayFiOS All it does for 1.5+2.5 is 4K resolution and 0.2 plays smoothly the majority of the time on the OG PS4 which runs it at 30fps while the pro version targets 60 but in reality is around 30-45 fps

Gta 5 is not on this list but with super sampling and boost it looks better and the frame rate feels smoother. Skyrim looks much better with SS and boost. I am hoping Fallout 4 is improved. However FO4 graphics can be improved a lot with just using mods for clear weather and fog and god rays off.

My tv is only 1080p but i am glad i upgraded to a Pro. Video and images captured at higher resolution is also a plus. Also Far Cry 5 looks great and plays smooth with SS and boost. However i have no comparison as i have only played it on my Pro.

I wouldn't usually complain but Xbox fanboys are using this list as 'Fact' - you need to change the context as you claim it's "Every enhanced title" when in reality it isn't. There are a load of games missing, things like Yakuza 6, Dragons Quest 2, all the other KT games, smaller indie games like the Sometimes You ones which run in native 4k, Tacoma is 4k etc...

So yeah, maybe just say Here is a list of 'some' of the enhanced titles"...

This is when directly comparing and checking off the ones you missed that are enhanced on the X and the Pro. There ais about 2-3x as many of this which you missed which were all listed over on Gaf up until October last year.

So that's at least 65 games missing off the list (if you count all the Artifex Mundi games) - so yeah, you should really remove the comment about it being 'All of the games' - because its way, way out

@NoCode23 SS wont change GTA 5 at all because it's a 1080p game. Boost mode wont affect Skyrim at all because it's an enhanced game.

Far Cry 5 has no differences with Boost because it's an enhanced title so Boost is disabled.

Didn't think people still got confused over the process? If it's officially enhanced in any way, even if the full cores are turned on like in Yooka-Layee yet there is no obvious resolution or graphical change, it's still using the full CPU and GPU so it's enhanced - thus it disables Boost mode.

If the game is only 1080p or less then SS wont work as SS is only to downsample a resolution above 1080p back down to 1080p.

I agree with you. Especially the rumored PS5 will be coming soon, but Sony makes it hard to resist the temptation of getting the Pro right now because of the Spiderman PS4 Pro ( i think red is nice), and is just lurking about a few weeks away.

@Turismo4GT Your comment was a while ago, but I agree. Well, if you purchased it in 2015, it's kind of in the middle. - It's a bit unfortunate cause the Pro came out in 2016.
Myself I've always been with PC, but also got a PS2 Slim and PS3 Slim. I never had the extra money or incentive to get a PS4, but as over the years more and more worthwhile exclusives have come out (even though there already were a bunch of good ones earlier on, just not enough), I started considering getting a PS4 anyway and started figuring what and when.

This might have taken like 2-3 years after the Pro-version game out, because it wasn't until like late 2018 or early 2019 that I decided I would go for that one, but ONLY at a significant price-drop. So it did recently go on sale around where I live, got a PS4 Pro for around 300 Dollars and I'm good with that. The only drawbacks are that I'm just late, also that some online features of some games are offline by now (but it's not a big deal apart from trophies perhaps) and the tech is still outdated.

But if it works, it works, and there are STILL nice exclusives coming out after all this time.
An obvious one would be "TLoU2", which I've blindly pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of, even before I had the system. XD (And actually, I've had 'Uncharted 4' sitting around since like 2017 or something.)
Surely they'll also do like a "remastered" version of it for the PS5 like a year or so later, just to make it run even sharper and more optimal, but I honestly don't even care anymore if the PS4 Pro can carry it well enough.

I don't know what you'll do for (later) titles like that. If you'll wait to get it on the PS5 or what, but you could have sold the 2015 PS4 and put the money towards upgrading to a Pro. But if you're happy with it, that's fine!

Even though this was posted a while ago there is still a tonne missing. With a good 4k TV with hdr it's amazing how good some games look. My pro favourites are death stranding, spiderman, ff7, grid, everspace (which is so good you can take screenshots all day)

It is a crime that Bloodborne is not enhanced!
