A Basis for Blackmail is a Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy, and is a Relationship Quest for Natsai Onai. It's unlocked after completing Mum's the Word. In this Hogwarts Legacy guide, we're going to reveal our A Basis for Blackmail Walkthrough.

Following the downtime in Natsai's previous Quest, it's time to get back into the action. Meet her just outside of Hogsmeade, and she'll send you to talk to 3 different people inside the shopping district. They're all marked in the HUD, so simply find them all, talk to them, and then return to Natsai.

However, she's not there when you get back, so head for the Hog's Head Inn to search for her. Pick up her wand, then cast Revelio to find a trail of footsteps on the ground you can follow to where she's been taken to. You're led to a cellar, where you can cast Accio on the two barrels to reveal a hidden door.

On the other side, defeat the enemies on the bottom floor, then go up the stairs towards the objective marker on the back wall to find an office with a cell inside. Here you can talk to Isko Rabe, who asks you to return their wand to them. Cast Revelio to discover a secret chest with his wand inside, so return it to him. With him out of the cell, he'll help Natsai escape her own. In order to get out yourself, simply go back the way you came. Talk to Officer Singer outside and the Quest will be complete.

  • Return to the meeting spot to update Natty
  • Search for Natty near the Hog's Head Inn
  • Search for Natty by casting Revelio
  • Follow the trail
  • Enter the cellar
  • Search the cellar
  • Find Natty
  • Speak with Isko Rabe
  • Find and return Isko Rabe's wand
  • Wait for Mr Rabe to dispel the curses
  • Find a way out of the Ashwinders' hideout
  • Speak with Officer Singer
