A Bird in the Hand is a Side Quest in Hogwarts Legacy, and is a Relationship Quest for Poppy Sweeting. It's unlocked after completing It's in the Stars. In this Hogwarts Legacy guide, we're going to reveal our A Bird in the Hand Walkthrough.
A Bird in the Hand: Walkthrough
Having met with the centaurs once more, Poppy will tell you to meet her just outside of Brocburrow. You'll accompany her to meet Dorran inside, who shows you a puzzle you need to solve to get inside the ruins. Begin by placing the moonstone in the centre, then note the symbols lit up around the door in front of you. Now, you need to use Accio to move the pillars around the moonstone so they're lined up opposite where the same lit up symbols are on the ground.
Here's what the solution looks like:
You can now head inside the ruins, where you can follow the single path through and cast Incendio to remove the vines blocking your way. You'll eventually come to a dead end with two circular symbols on the floor, one with flames on it and the other ice. Using Accio, pull the cube out next to the big tree and place it on the flame symbol.
Then, use Levioso on the brown box and carry it over to the other side of the room. Make it levitate again so you can reach the floor above to find another cube. Place this on the ice symbol, then cast Glacius on it. Incendio can be used on the other cube, and then the door opens.
You'll need to defeat a series of Poachers on the other side of the door that's revealed. After the encounter, approach the doors on the back wall and they'll open with the square button prompt. The Quest is complete after the cutscene.
