Hogwarts Legacy: The Daedalian Keys Walkthrough

In the Transfiguration Courtyard, Gryffindor student Nellie Oggspire will be talking excitedly about something called the Daedalian Keys. Speak to her and she'll tell you about a set of special, enchanted keys that have returned to Hogwarts.

Your first objective is to go and find one of the keys. The game will pinpoint it for you; it's located in the Astronomy Tower. Follow the key and it'll lead you to a locked cabinet. To unlock it, you have to press X as the key passes over the keyhole. Opening the cabinet will reward you with a House Token, representative of your character's house.

Return to Nellie and tell her what you found. You'll then be directed to return to your house common room and locate the House Chest. Each common room has a large, golden chest inside, with slots in the top for all the House Tokens. Once you've inserted the first one, you'll then be tasked with finding the remaining 15 Daedalian Keys around Hogwarts. See below for guidance on where to find them all.

Once you have found all of the Daedalian Keys and retrieved all the House Tokens, return to your house's common room and go to the House Chest. Insert all the House Tokens and it'll open, rewarding you with a Relic House Uniform gear appearance. There is a unique uniform for each house. Equip it by changing the appearance of your Cloaks and Robes gear slot.

Return to Nellie Oggspire to tell her what you found and end the Side Quest.

All Daedalian Keys Locations

Below, we've listed where to find all Daedalian Keys. There are 16 in total.

Astronomy Tower

Found half-way up the stairs leading up to the observation decks.

Central Hall

From the Central Hall Floo Flames, go down the stairs and head over to the right. Go down the stairs and the Daedalian Key will be on the left.

Clock Tower #1

From the Hospital Wing Floo Flames, turn around and head for the clock tower. Go down the stairs and then go left into the corridor to find this Daedalian Key.

Clock Tower #2

From the Hospital Wing Floo Flames, turn around and head for the clock tower. Descend the clock tower and about half-way down, you’ll find this Daedalian Key.

Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower

From the Defence Against the Dark Arts Tower Floo Flames, go down the stairs ahead and to the right. The Daedalian Key is floating around the animal skeleton at the bottom.

Dungeons #1

From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, go left up the steps and then through the door. Go down the stairs and follow the path down into the dungeons. You’ll find this Daedalian Key next to the large sleeping dragon statue.

Dungeons #2

From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, go left up the steps and then through the door. Go down the stairs and follow the path down into the dungeons. Turn right at the sleeping dragon statue and follow the hallway around to the right to find this Daedalian Key.

Entrance Hall

From the Grand Staircase Floo Flames, head up the left-hand steps and out through the left-hand door. You’ll find the Daedalian Key flying around the entrance hall.

Faculty Tower

From the Faculty Tower Floo Flames, go down the hallway and through the door on the right (requires Alohomora to unlock). Go up the stairs and you’ll find the Daedalian Key hovering around.

Grand Staircase

From the Ravenclaw Tower Floo Flames, head towards the Grand Staircase. Ascend the stairs and you’ll find this Daedalian Key.

Great Hall

From the Great Hall Floo Flames, head over to the left to find this Daedalian Key.

Library

From the Library Floo Flames, head over to the left and this Daedalian Key hovering around the bookshelves.

North Hall

From the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flames, go left up the steps and then through the door. The Daedalian Key will be ahead up the stairs.

Potions Classroom

From the Potions Classroom Floo Flames, go through the doors towards the Potions classroom. The Daedalian Key will be hovering outside it.

Quad Courtyard

From the Quad Courtyard Floo Flames, go up the stairs to the left to find this Daedalian Key.

Viaduct Entrance

From the Central Hall Floo Flames, go up the stairs, then over to the right. The Daedalian Key can be found hovering underneath the staircase.
