An artificial species created by an ancient civilisation and imbued with the power of a monster called Arkveld. It cannot reproduce and does not require food, relying instead on Wyvern Milk for energy. In addition to absorbing and discharging the energy the way other Guardians do, Guardian Arkveld can also absorb elemental energy through the chainblades on its wings and use it for sustenance.

  • As with other Guardian monsters, make sure to attack wounds with focus strikes whenever possible; these can deal some big damage, and wounds don't stick around on this type of monster.
  • Guardian Arkveld will often create Wyvern Milk crystals on the ground. Make sure to use elemental slinger ammo on these, triggering explosions that can deal some juicy damage.
  • The chainblades have huge reach and are the thing you need to watch out for most, but there are some opportunities to attack them. You should do this, as they're breakable and also weak spots.
