How Do You Swap to Your Secondary Weapon in Monster Hunter Wilds?

When you're out in the open world or on a hunt, you will always take two weapons with you — your primary weapon and secondary weapon. You can view what your secondary weapon is (and equip whatever you like) with the Change Equipment option in the Tent.

You can switch between your primary and secondary weapons at any time by pressing Right.

If you're already riding your Seikret, you will immediately swap between the weapon you're carrying and the weapon holstered on your mount. If you're not riding your Seikret, pressing Right will summon it and it'll scoop you up. Upon doing so, you'll immediately switch from one weapon to the other.

How Do You Switch Which Weapons You Have Equipped in Monster Hunter Wilds?

If you're wondering how to equip different weapons, you can do so at any base camp or pop-up camp.

Travel to one of these destinations and enter your tent. Inside, navigate to the Equipment Menu and select Change Equipment.

You'll see a list comprising your currently equipped primary and secondary weapons, as well as armour pieces. Select your primary or secondary weapon, then choose the weapon type. All of your currently available weapons in that category will be shown; simply select the one you want to equip with Cross/X.

You cannot switch your weapons from your entire collection while out in the field, but if you need to do so during a hunt, fast travel to a camp and follow the above steps, then navigate back.
