Resident Evil 4 Remake: Chapter 11 Walkthrough
Leon has met up with Luis following the events of Chapter 10, and a few fun mine cart rides await as the duo tries to get back to the surface and rescue Ashley.
Make Your Way to the Surface
Chapter 11 begins with the Merchant right by you, so feel free to make any upgrades and sell unwanted goods before moving on. To continue, climb the ladder opposite the Typewriter and head west through the tunnel until you encounter a blocked passage. You'll need to blow this up with Dynamite, so take a right into the more open area with Villagers; it's labelled Mines on the Map.
Once they're all dead, enter the house to the south via the top floor and pull the lever on the control panel to begin lowering the bridge. Once it's all the way down, cross over and grab the Dynamite from the room to your left. You can now return to the blockage, set the Dynamite and blow it up. Just make sure you stand well back.
Defeat the Two Giants
When you reach the Blast Furnace, you'll need to take on two El Gigantes with Luis by your side. Let him distract the one kitted out in armour plating while you focus on the other. This encounter will go the same way as your first fight with an El Gigante: damage it until the parasite shoots out of its back, then target that and stagger the giant. Then, you can hop on its back a few times and slash at it with your Combat Knife.
Now it's time for the Armoured El Gigante. After a short while Luis will leave the arena to find some Dynamite. When he gets back, lure the Armoured El Gigante over to him and he'll stick it in its armour. You can now shoot it and remove the plating, making it vulnerable. Now you can choose to kill it using either the traditional method of attacking the parasite, or using the controls in the Blast Furnace and dropping the Armoured El Gigante into the lava below your feet. If you'd prefer to do the latter, stagger it in the centre of the room and then use the control panel.
Make Your Way to the Surface
Before leaving the Blast Furnace, search the edges of the arena for any supplies you missed, then follow Luis by giving him a boost. After running through the mines, it'll be time for the first of two mine cart rides. Luckily, you'll have unlimited ammo during these sections so feel free to blast at enemies at much as you like. Along the way, you'll need to clear debris in the mine cart's path, shoot track switchers so you don't crash, and deal with any enemies using the transport system. It's a really fun section, so just have a good time.
At the end of the first mine cart ride, you'll be in the Stopover area. You'll find some enemies, a Clockwork Castellan, and a Flagon here, but it's really just a way of getting you to the second mine cart ride. Hop aboard for a sequence very similar to the previous one; the big difference being there's a Chainsaw Villager to deal with. When it appears, constantly shoot it to keep on staggering it. That way, it can't hit you.
