Where are all Artifact locations, and what do Artifacts do in Tales of Arise? Artifacts are key items which, once discovered, provide unique gameplay effects. In this Tales of Arise guide, we're going to go over what each Artifact does, and where you can find it.
Tales of Arise Artifacts - What You Need to Know
Again, Artifacts are key items that provide various gameplay enhancements. Some bolster battle rewards, while others modify the way combat works. Most Artifacts are found towards the end of the game, but they're still worth collecting because you can carry them over into New Game+, and enjoy their effects throughout a brand new run.
You can view your collected Artifacts in-game, by going to the Field Guide menu and selecting 'Artifacts'. From here, you can press the triangle button to check 'Artifact Effect'. On this screen, you can enable or disable each individual Artifact's effect — although some Artifacts cannot be disabled once acquired.
Tales of Arise - All Artifacts
Below is a list of every Artifact in Tales of Arise. We've included screenshots as well as location details, and information on what each Artifact actually does.
There are 22 Artifacts to find in Tales of Arise (not including DLC Artifacts).
Crocodile Crusher
Location: Found during the main story. Can't be missed.
Effect: Arte Set + 1
Lets you equip a second set of Artes, for use in combat. Before you get this Artifact, you can only equip 3 Artes for use on the ground, and 3 Artes for use in the air. With this Artifact, those numbers are doubled. This effect cannot be disabled once you obtain the Artifact.
Quivering Candles
Location: Complete the side quest 'The Mysterious Pair', found in Niez. You'll be asked to track down an item, based on a set of riddles. The item can be found in the Iglia Wastes, all the way back in Calaglia. It's located at the most northern point of the Iglia Wastes map, where you'll find a sparkle on on the ground.
Effect: More Ore
You find more ore at mining points out in the field. This effect is actually quite dramatic — you'll often find double the amount of ore that you usually would. Stacks with other ore boost Artifacts.
Glutton's Maze
Location: A reward for completing the side quest 'Gourmet Saga: Prairie Scent', found in the Aqfotle Hills.
Effect: Cooking Effect Boost 1
Makes cooking buffs last 10% longer. Stacks with other cooking boost Artifacts.
Blade of Sealing
Location: Adan Lake. This Artifact is found inside a treasure chest in the old tower. It's guarded by a tough group of monsters.
Effect: 1 Damage
Reduces all combat damage to 1, for you, your allies, and your enemies. This is only useful for combo practice, and you should definitely save your game before activating it and going into battle. Even the weakest enemies in Tales of Arise have hundreds of hit points, so battles will take a long time to complete.
Drums of the Master
Location: Thereum Falls, Top Level. This Artifact is inside a treasure chest. After you beat the boss around halfway through your climb, continue on towards the top. However, before you get to the next star on your map, follow the path to a sheer drop (it's marked on your map). Jump off, then follow the path, which will eventually lead to this chest.
Effect: Combat Point Boost
Increases Combat Points earned from battle by 20%. Stacks with other Combat Point boost Artifacts.
Lucky Cat Statue
Location: A reward for completing the side quest 'Echoes', found in Niez once the main story progresses.
Effect: SP Boost
Increases SP earned from battle by 20%. Stacks with other SP boost Artifacts.
Glutton's Code
Location: Complete the side quest 'Global Connection', found in Mosgul much later in the game.
Effect: Cooking Effect Boost 2
Makes cooking buffs last 20% longer. Stacks with other cooking boost Artifacts.

Effect: EXP Boost
Increases EXP earned in battle by 20%. Stacks with other EXP boost Artifacts.
Hellmask Fiend Skull
Location: Complete Dohalim's Advanced solo battles at the Viscint Training Ground.
Effect: Reckless Abandon
Increases all damage (for you, your allies, and your enemies) in battle by 100%. This is a useful Artifact if you want to speed up combat, but be warned that it'll make some boss enemy attacks do massive damage — enough to wipe out your entire party in one hit.
Golden Lucky Cat Statue
Location: Complete the side quest 'Untamable Rage', found in Thistlym.
Effect: Super SP Boost
Increases SP earned in battle by 80%. Stacks with other SP boost Artifacts.
Vivid Sphere
Location: Given to you by an owl in Iglia Wastes (when the owl side quest's goal has changed to "Discover all of the owls"). Use Dohalim's vine-growing ability to climb to the highest peak in the area, and you'll find the owl perched there.

This area can only be accessed as part of the side quest 'Beyond the Grave' — but this quest isn't marked on any map. To start it, you need to visit the Tuah Seashore (much later in the game). There, you'll find a letter in a bottle. Follow the quest through, beat the boss, and the owl is right next to where the battle takes place.
