How do you find all Weapon Locations in The Last of Us 2? As you'd expect, you'll need some firepower if you hope to survive Naughty Dog's harsh post-apocalyptic world. Fortunately, both Ellie and Abby have access to a range of firearms, many of which you'll be able to upgrade using spare parts at Workbenches over the course of the campaign. As part of our The Last of Us 2 guide, we're going to reveal the locations of all weapons as well as their upgrades.

Ellie

There are 6 weapons for Ellie to use, five of which can be upgraded at Workbenches using the spare parts you find around the world. Click the chapter name for a description of the weapon's location.

Semi-Auto Pistol

The Last of Us 2 Weapons Guide Semi-Auto Pistol

The Semi-Auto Pistol is one of Ellie's default weapons, available from the beginning of the campaign. You can purchase the following upgrades using spare parts:

  • Fire Rate
  • Stability
  • Recoil
  • Capacity

Bolt-Action Rifle

The Last of Us 2 Weapons Guide Bolt Action Rifle

The Bolt-Action Rifle is one of Ellie's default weapons, available from the beginning of the campaign. You can purchase the following upgrades using spare parts:

  • Stability
  • Capacity
  • 6x Scope
  • Damage

Revolver

The Revolver is located in a red box during the Packing Up chapter. You can purchase the following upgrades using spare parts:

  • Fire Rate
  • Stability
  • Reload Speed
  • Damage

Pump Shotgun

Bow

The Last of Us 2 Weapons Guide Bow

The Bow is located inside a house towards the tail end of the Hillcrest chapter. You can purchase the following upgrades using spare parts:

  • Draw Speed
  • Stability
  • Rangefinder

Silenced Submachine Gun

The Last of Us 2 Weapons Guide Silenced Submachine Gun

The Silenced Submachine Gun is added to your inventory automatically at the beginning of The Resort chapter. It cannot be upgraded.

Abby

Military Pistol

Crossbow

The Crossbow is picked up automatically as part of The Coast chapter. You can purchase the following upgrades using spare parts:

Flamethrower

The Last of Us 2 Weapons Guide Flamethrower

The Flamethrower is located next to a corpse, across a balance beam in The Descent chapter. It cannot be upgraded.
