As far as we can understand, the day is designed to encourage North American shoppers to get out of bed early, queue outside their local stores, and spend lots of money on ridiculously under-priced items.
We might not fully understand it, but we're totally jealous of it. Some of the video game deals this year are insane. The most notable for PlayStation 3 fans is a $199.99 system bundled with two games. The 160GB PlayStation 3 includes a copy of the recently released Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One and a special edition version of LittleBigPlanet 2 which bundles a bunch of the game's DLC. The set's due to retail at GameStop, Best Buy and Toys 'R' Us — you'll even get a third-party wired control when you order from the latter. All stores are also offering a smattering of new PS3 titles for super cheap, so it's best to peruse the deals and see what takes your fancy. Best Buy for example has got Battlefield 3 and Uncharted 3 for $29.99. Madness.
Is there anything in particular you're looking to pick up cheap this Black Friday, valued American readers? That PlayStation 3 bundle looks pretty tempting to us.
