But developer Demiurge has eschewed that trend for its latest Shoot Many Robots trailer, offering a peek behind the curtain at some of the game's more complex visual effects.
While the different visual layers are traditionally used for debugging purposes, the developer hints that some of the filters may be included as additional unlockable modes. Some of them do look good — we're especially fond of the outline mode shown early on in the trailer.
