Boot up LittleBigPlanet 2 now and you’ll be amazed. While there was no shortage of impressive content at launch, the platformer has really come into its own over the past 18 months. It’s simply staggering what budding creator curators have built – and that sentiment extends to this obsessive recreation of Final Fantasy VII.
Jamie Colliver spent over six months building the painstakingly accurate remake, which boasts over 20 levels and features all conversations, music, bosses and enemies from the original game. He even managed to incorporate the full battle system with all Limit Breaks.
You can watch a full two-hour playthrough of Colliver’s work on YouTube. We’ve embedded the opening half-hour below. Let us know what you think in the comments section.

It's not the prettiest user-generated level in LBP2, but the attention to detail is staggering. Well done!
So is this playable or all video?
Do you need to own the FF character pack?
Do you need the Move pack? Some of those photos look like they are using the Movinator or whatever it was called.
I want to go boot it up but not if it isn't going to work.
rjer# Playable. No need to own any pack . The game screens you see are from the Move pack which have nothing to do with these FF VII lvls.
@rjejr Yeah, the screenshots beneath the article are just general LBP2 images. The Final Fantasy VII levels are playable in the LBP2 — you don't need the Move pack.
Lol, fantastic. I need to finish up a couple more of my levels too. So much possibilities, so little time.
Thanks everybody. About a week after my wife and I first moved in together 15 years ago she bought me a PS for Christmas and a friend of mine bought me FF7. She spent the next few months watching me play it. Tonight we'll spend a couple of hours playing this together.
Man that took forever to find, so many FF7 song levels. And then I kept getting stuck in the level. And of ocurse he PS3 needed to get updated first. Tomorrow level 2.
