Sega has confirmed that the next entry in its popular Phantasy Star series is coming to the PS Vita.
Phantasy Star Nova — which is being coded by tri-Ace — will take place in the same universe as Phantasy Star Online 2. However, despite being able to go online with up to three friends, it will be a mainly single-player affair.
The game is expected to hit Japan next year, with a western release still to be confirmed.

Its about time SEGA but no western date being announced yet is of no suprise. To be honest if SEGA don't release this in the west it'll probably be the last straw for a lot of people. Its a franchise that is relatively popular here
Exclusive to PS Vita? Whats the catch? exclusive to Japan But it will come over right by another publisher? But, but, but SEGA
Never played this series any good? what is similar?
Please confirm for USA/EU Sega and I will be pleased to give you my money.
ohh I really want this to come to North America! Please make this happen Sega!
Still waiting on Phanatasy Star Online 2 Sega. WTF is with the silence. At least tell people where you are with it, or that you are cancelling the localizations as you've decided you don't like money from anyone but Japanese people like with a bunch of your other games that isn't Sonic.
Nice! I've always wanted to play Phantasy Star, but was turned off by the MMO aspect. If this game means Phantasty Star WITHOUT the MMO, I'm all in!
@JaxonH Yes it is!
Sega why don't you release this in the West, so I can play with Red hair lady?
