Beyond: Two Souls is very much the type of release that will prompt your non-gaming companions to raise an eyebrow and ask you if it’s a movie or something that you can actually interact with on the PlayStation 3. The upcoming Sony published swansong is easily one of the most visually impressive titles in production for the current generation platform, and will certainly prompt plenty of double-takes when it deploys next month.
However, those shocked expressions may start a little earlier, as the platform holder has started to ramp up its marketing for the release. The video embedded below – entitled ‘Guilt’ – shows off various sequences from throughout protagonist Jodie Holmes’ life, including a couple of scenes that we’ve never seen before. We recently got to play the opening couple of hours of the game, and came away thoroughly impressed. You can read our thoughts through here.

They actually advertising for sony wws games??? Shock and Horror is that not one of the signs of the apocalypse lol but on a serious note wws make some good games but I wish they would not send them out to die! Even the sony satellite channel here never shows any advertising for ANY Sony goods. They do have regular samsung ads though #FacePalm
@8vpiper Haha, yeah, I guess they actually have to AIR the commercial first. At least they made one, though.
Still I cant help but question some of these release dates...... Good marketing push, aim for gaps between big 3rd party releases and close to pay day should be the aim. again just my (usually dumb) opinion actually buying two special editions of this game 1 for me 1 for my sis CANT WAIT! but Rain, Puppeteer and killzone will tie me over
@8vpiper you are a good brother! I agree sony needs to push there products more! Only seen Xperia Z commercials
If they made a movie of Katie Holmes marriage to Tom Cruise I think it would look a lot like this, only even more surreal.
@rjejr I laughed.
I think that it is a good trailer, and I fully expect that it will be shown on TV over here (Aus). Heavy Rain was definitely advertised on TV back in the day.
I think that this game will have a very broad appeal, including many people who do not frequent sites like this to even know that it exists. A commercial is a very good idea.
Just need to wait for GTA fever to die down a little, assuming that it does.
Beyond is a game worth getting hyped over. Itd be good to see Sony give it some coverage and try to push it as much as possible. It has been pretty much side-by-side with TLoU at conferences so let's hope Sony sees Beyond as being just as important
@MadchesterManc "Beyond is a game worth getting hyped over."
I think so too. It looks absolutely phenomenal, let's just hope it delivers come October!
