You may not realise it, but your yellowing PSone actually possesses the Matrix of leadership deep within its ageing chassis. In order to prove as much, Japanese toy company Takara Tomy is busy beavering away on a new action figure designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Transformers and the 20th anniversary of PlayStation.
Lovingly dubbed the PrimeStation, the gaming device in disguise will prove much more than meets the eye, as you’ll be able to toggle it between humble hardware and Autobot leadership forms. This isn’t the only gaming themed robot in the works either, as the aforementioned firm also has a Mega Drive Megatron in production.
The action figure’s actually set to release in 2015, but there’s no word on a price just yet. You can bet Bumblebee that this editor’s going to try and get his hands on one, though – regardless of whether Hot Rod gets in the way.

OH MY GOODNESS!
Not impressed. If either of those two WOULD be functional I'd be heavily impressed though.
@Scollurio It won't play games, I'm 'fraid.
I NEED THIS
@get2sammyb man these look awesome xD I hope they make them 1:1 scale with the original consoles! Bet they won't come cheap though..
Sold!
I WANT THIS
@get2sammyb I'd only be interested if I could play games on it, and/or the toy was really Optimus .
I really love the Rodimus hate comments!
Cool but these are better.
@Jazzer94
@NathanUC The fact it is the console and controller plus game cartridge and can all fit together I say yes.
