The threads of The Evil Within's convoluted plot will get increasingly tangled next month, as Bethesda has announced that add-on pack The Assignment is imminent. This will boast a fresh concurrent storyline starring detective Juli Kidman, and promises to uncover the truth behind her association with the mysterious Mobius group.
The sub-story will apparently focus on stealth mechanics, which were our least favourite parts of the original foray, so hopefully director Shinji Mikami and crew have tightened things up a touch. You'll be able to download the add-on from 10th March in North America and 11th March in Europe on both the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3 for £6.99/$9.99.
Season Pass holders, meanwhile, will be able to shiver their way through the extra for £14.99/$19.99, and will also unlock access to The Consequence, a second story-based bonus due out this spring. There'll be three expansions in total, with the publisher promising to unlock details regarding The Keeper-based finale later this year.

Still not removing those awful black bars.
Looking forwards to the DLC (The Assignment), The Evil Within is one hell of a survival horror game.
