'ere mate, we've got some bleedin' obvious news for you on this lavely London afternoon: Assassin's Creed Syndicate's got bits in the game that you can nab wiv real cash, and just the thought of it's got us up the bloody wall.
According to the title's director, Francois Pelland, these in-game purchases can be used to "save time and accelerate progress". In other words, if you're a lazy sod, then you can 'and over some of your 'ard earned dosh to unlock upgrades, and all that other nonsense, so that you can get through the stealth-'em-up faster. Wot a travesty, your mum would be ashamed, mate.
Now, even though we're proper 'ard men over here at Push Square, we don't like putting words in your mouth, so we'll ask you nicely to tell us your thoughts in the comments section below. Well? What you waiting for, you muppet?

Meh doesn't bother me, gives more options for people and being that its single player only there's no unfair advantages leading to griefing and such.
The main problem with Assassins Creed is it's just all a bit soul achingly rubbish really, isn't it?
Still up to old tricks. They really haven't learned from Unity, eh? That's the impression I'm getting from this.
@kyleforrester87 I don't think the games are bad, it's just that the formula is tired and this particular installment is coming off the back of a really broken game. This doesn't help it's case.
Wasn't on my list, had no chance of being on my list and yes AC suck's....hard.
Not this crap again.
Microtransactions were pointless in Unity as you could earn a fair amount of money through the cafe theater.
This may be the greatest news story I've ever read.
Doesn't really bother me since I won't be using it
Meh, I would get annoyed but AC has just melted into a puddle of nothing for me
Looks like it's all going Pete Tong lads.
I thought they had confirmed the game would not have online features, does this mean the game will require always online
To be perfectly honest I don't care if they riddle it with microtransactions, they can be ignored, what is harder to ignore was the borderline non-existent story in Unity, especially compared to the earlier entries in the series (in particular the first 2 Ezio titles).
They can do what they like with the gameplay, some serious thought needs to go into fixing the stories going forwards. Black Flag was great, so they can definitely do it, they just need to sack whoever was in charge of that side of Unity. Also it would've been nice to have more variety in the environments, something which I imagine is going to be unfortunately missing from Syndicate.
NEXT...
Fine if you can ignore the microtransactions, but I just don't get the point of this at all. Why would someone pay up to £50 for the game to then spend more money completing it faster?
