The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is big. It's so big that it dwarfs many other open world titles on the PlayStation 4, and as you'd expect of a massively multiplayer online title, it's absolutely crammed with quests, dungeons to explore, and creatures to kill. The good news is that it's about to get even bigger with the arrival of the Orsinium expansion that's releasing later this month. The bad news is that we have no idea where we're going to find the free time needed to play it.
As you can see from the image that we've plopped at the top of the article, Wrothgar - the region in which Orsinium can be found - is a vast stretch of land that's roughly the size of a regular territory from the main game. Half of it's covered in snowy terrain, and there are plenty of winding roads and creaky old ruins. At the end of the day, it's likely going to be more of the same, but we doubt that fans are going to shun such a premise.
Along with the detailed map, a slew of screenshots have also been published, which give us a quick glimpse of locales, enemies, and fresh equipment. You can check out the finer points over on the release's official site.
Are you liking the look of Orsinium? Dare we ask how many hours you've put into The Elder Scrolls Online? Give the Orcs a funny look in the comments section below.

Is this game fun to solo? or is that even possible? I'd be interested in picking this up at some point when there's a gaming drought (if one ever comes!)
@Hego I have the same questions. I've wanted to pick this up, but generally MMO's aren't fun alone, and it's hard to play one socially on a console considering you'll need a keyboard hooked up to have fluid conversations.
@NomNom @Hego Unlike a lot of MMOs, TESO is completely playable alone. You can get through the main story (which is MASSIVE) without ever grouping up with other people. I played a good chunk of the game like this - around 25 hours or so of it - and I still had a lot of fun just exploring, fulfilling quests, and finding loot. Honestly, a lot of effort has been put into making it feel like a TES game even though it's an MMO at its core.
I would personally recommend it if you're looking for a very lengthy RPG, especially if you can get it at a relatively low price (which you can these days).
@ShogunRok Thanks for getting back to us so quick! It's great to hear that someone has actually played the game as I would probably it, as you said like a lengthy RPG, sounds really tempting now
@Hego @NomNom I had same doubts myself before picking it up last month, but I've found it really enjoyable going at it alone.
Don't get me wrong there are certain areas, like dungeons for example, that will require you work with other players. But I found this really easy as there are always groups hanging near the entrances who you can join/invite to do the quest with. There was no communication really needed but I'm not that far into the game yet so don't know if more communication/teamwork would be required for the more advanced areas.
Ive played it a fair bit and i really enjoy it...it is a bit of a strange one though, im running around soloing stuff even though i know its an mmo and knowing that makes the soloing feel quite lonely...i know any mmo can be played solo but it just seems that the emphasis in eso is the solo stuff, the group part feels a little bit tacked on at times. I would definitely recommend it, even more so if you can pick up in a sale
Ugh, I haven't even started....
@Hego @NomNom I second @ShogunRok. I soloed until about level 20. I am currently level 35 and still mostly solo ,but do a dungeon occasionally with a group. It is a great solo game. You just have to get used to other people running around killing the same things as you. HUGE world with many options for skilling up and crafting. A game I will keep returning too. As for the expansion, maybe after a new game played or 2.
@teknium_ @realbehan88 @Elodin thanks guys for the insight, appreciate it you've convinced me to pick this up at some point in the future
@Hego, It is very enjoyable solo, but play it long enough and you will probably make a few friends along the way. I'm currently playing Uncharted, but ESO is my goto game if I feel like casual questing. Message me (PSN: dhawk1701) anytime you see me on and I'll gladly switch over: I'm always up for dungeons.
i have also been playing solo for about the past 3 or 4 months and its pretty great for the most part!. it actually feels like a traditional elderscrolls game but with a bunch of goofballs (and some times A-holes running around all over the place) ive come across some extremely comedic scenes to say the least. it can get a little hard at times when you start advancing outwards to tougher areas. if youre onthe fence then id say go for it. you will probably enjoy it
I'm currently on this game alot! Very addictive, and as all the previous comments advise, it is quite easy to solo it! However I still find it fun to group up with other gamers to group up for dungeons! If anyone needs a dungeon partner message me on Jonny_aces_87 or request an invitation to the Undying Companions guild!
Looks great....but where am I meant to find the time?! Got to about VR2 and haven't touched it for about a month. I have every intention to go back, but whether I will or not I don't know.
Don't know where I am going to find the time for this as I've recently just bought fifa 16,uncharted collection and Shadow warrior... I did buy the Imperial city but I'm only VR2 so going to have jump back into this as soon as the first Uncharted is finnished.
It's really cheap right now, I believe you can get it for as low as £20. I urge any TES fan to pick this one up, though be prepared to invest substantial amount of time into it.
@OmniHawk thanks man! Duno when I'll be picking this up coz don't have much time for gaming at the moment but you might get a random message in the future looking for help
