When Capcom announced that Street Fighter V's first big update would arrive in March - adding some much needed content to the game - we probably would have put money on it being out by now, but what the publisher really meant was that it'd be out right at the end of month, and that it'd be split into two parts. We're glad that's all cleared up, then.

Snark aside, the highly anticipated patch is finally incoming. The first half of it will go live next week on the 28th March, and it'll include the new challenge mode as well as a rematch option for ranked and casual online duels. Battle lounge improvements will also be implemented, allowing for up to eight players to gather in a single lobby. Finally.

Then, on the 30th March, the second half of the update will be rolled out. Alex will become available to unlock, and the in-game shop will be open for business. However, the shop won't support real money purchases at launch, and no release window for such functionality has been given. Can't win 'em all, we suppose.

And finally, Capcom's going to be giving away both Ryu and Chun Li's story costumes for free when the shop launches - so make sure that you grab them as soon as you can.

So, it looks like Street Fighter V's finally going to fleshed out in just a few days time, but do you think that this is enough? Start waiting for the next, next update in the comments section below.
