What a day this is turning out to be! Hot on the heels of all the PlayStation 4K nonsense and a bunch of other big stories, Supergiant Games has announced its latest game Pyre out of the blue. The studio – best known for indie darlings Bastion and Transistor – will launch its latest as a PS4 console debut in 2017, and it's already shaping up to be an audio-visual feast.
Described as a "party-based role-playing game", the title will see "you lead a band of exiles through an ancient competition spread across a vast, mystical purgatory". What does that mean? We honestly haven't got the foggiest, but we should learn more later this week, as creative director Greg Kasavin and crew will be taking the title on tour to PAX East.

Have absolutely no idea what to make of that trailer.
OH. Well, that came out of nowhere! Loving the art style and music as usual, but I've got to see more of the gameplay to get a better impression of what Supergiant is going for. In the meantime, I'm still stoked for this!
This shows me that indiegames are essential.
F*ck yes! Supergiant are awesome. And I'm glad to see a glimpse of their new game.
It's good times ahead people!
Decent. Not a huge Bastion fan (combat was mehhh) but Transistor was really good.
I like this developer so this is definitely a game to look out for.
So excited. Love Supergiant and their two previous games.
Can't wait. I love that they've already uploaded the song from the trailer.
By virtue of who the developer is and given the notches under their belt, I'm hyped.

Agree with everyone, these guys just deliver quality games and it is obvious they pour their heart and soul into their work. The animations are simply stunning, as I have said before it really is a great time to be a gamer.
It certainly looks intriguing, but it could do without that song.
I'm not much of a moba fan, but they have earned my respect, assuming I can convince some friends to try it with me, I'd pick it up.
Look's pretty decent, may very well try this out.
@NomNom Where does it mention it's a MOBA? I understand it to be a single player RPG with its own take on party based combat (looks like a kind of turn based combat)
