Square Enix has always loved its CG, but we'd argue that this is the best looking CG production that the company's ever been involved with. Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV ties directly into Final Fantasy XV, telling the story of an elite group of soldiers fighting to defend their kingdom from an invading empire while Noctis is off driving about with his mates.
Moving away from the narrative bits and bobs, the movie looks seriously impressive in its latest trailer, which we've embedded. Even if the plot and writing ends up being a bit rubbish, we'd still watch this purely for the stunning visuals. Oh, and Sean Bean, of course.
Kingsglaive will be arriving in select cinemas from the 19th August, but will you be lining up to see it? Protect your king and country in the comments section below.

"It's a trap."
Really, they put that line in the trailer? It was all going so well until then.
Don't think we'll pay to see this in a theater, so expensive for a family of 4, but we will see it before playing the game.
I was getting FFXV any ways so I just got the $90 version that came with it on blu-ray so I could watch it when the game comes out.
@vegeta11 the individual release is same day as the game anyway
The one question I have is how many spoilers of the game are present in the movie i.e. do events in it happen first, at the same time (which is what this article is suggesting) or asynchronous in other ways? I imagine this will be handled properly and you could watch the movie (since it comes out first) without spoiling the game but do we actually know?
the voice acting looks terrible lol but great action
@finalstan the movie is a prequel to the game.
@FullbringIchigo but if I ordered separately they wouldn't save space on my shelf in a gorgeous metal case though.
@vegeta11 i guess but it's still an option for those who were or are unable to get any of the special editions
i'm just hoping that Kings Tail (the new game) isn't a GAME exclusive and comes to a retailer i can order through
