Koei Tecmo's Berserk appears to already have a Japanese release date, despite the fact that the game was only officially announced last week. According to a promotional image spotted by Twitter user @earlbox, the action title will launch on the 21st September in Japan.
For those unfamiliar with Berserk, it's well respected dark fantasy manga and anime property that's supposed to be making a comeback this year with a brand new animated series. The upcoming game, meanwhile, is being developed by Omega Force - the studio behind Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and numerous other anime-to-game adaptations.
It's also well worth noting that the PlayStation 4 and Vita title has been confirmed for a Western release, although no specific date has been given yet. Taking this Japanese date into account, we assume that it'll be heading overseas at some point in 2017.

Makes me want to hook my dreamcast and fire up the original hack and slash blood bath.
i just wish From Software was making it....
@vitalemrecords They did, they just called it Dark Souls! Haha Miyazaki is a HUGE fan of Berserk and Dark Souls is packed with references
I hope they make it like hyrule Warriors.
Bersek is one of my favorite series. Cant wait for the new anime , blackswordsman FTW
What type of game would Berserk be? Brawler? Hack and Slash? Probably like DW?
@vitalemrecords I really dont. I love musuo games but cant get into the souls / Bloodborne style games. They are all too depressing. Stick to what you know best TK. My favourite game other than RL last year was One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 - more of that style please minus stupid random coin collecting.
