Ah, the announcement that many Street Fighter fans have been waiting for. Well, kind of. Today, Capcom has spilled the beans on Street Fighter V's upcoming story mode expansion, which will apparently offer around four hours of new, narrative driven content. It'll be released at the end of June, as we know, and in it, you'll be able to play as all six additional characters - even the ones that aren't released yet. Pretty neat.
It's what else the developer has revealed that'll catch the attention of those yearning for new single player modes, however. According to Capcom, daily challenges are still incoming, but they're being renamed "Targets", and you'll be able to clear them in order to rack up some extra fight money. What's more, two new modes are in the works: Extra Battle, and Versus CPU. The latter seems rather self-explanatory, but we're not entirely sure what the former could be. Hopefully we'll hear more in the near future.
Anyway, that story mode artwork is cracking, isn't it? Give it a good looking at, and then let us know if you're content with your content in the comments section below.

Cool. In a year or so, it might actually be worth purchasing!
Weren't they just saying a month ago that the story mode would be about an hour? I sense some overestimated guessing on Capcom's part.
What they need is the ability to play around six to ten - two round matches against multiple characters, in different backgrounds.
This is the first major positive news regarding SFV. I would like survival altered so that it only goes up to ten opponents but with scalable difficulty. Having to last 50 odd fights for colours is silly.
@Ralizah I think I'll be trying to get it at Christmas.
After all the crap thats happened recently, I wasn't expecting anything good. But this is good news! Also, 10 minutes of the story is uploaded on Youtube. It doesn't seem bad!
@turtlelink Could you post a link? I couldn't find it!
There wasn't any single player modes at launch? Wow, this game seems alot worse then I thought, didn't even know about that.
I don't really care for the single player content, but I'll take to new characters to fight on the street with online.
@Xaessya brief story mode for every chara and survival.

The first few minutes are the same for both.
Now we're getting somewhere.
Toss in arcade mode and we've got ourselves a complete game
I like the artwork! But I'll probably wait until they release all the content
Well that's nice, I'll check it out when it hits. In the meantime, back to the causal matches.
I'll pick it up in a flash sale or out of the bargain bin down the road. I don't think Capcom could have dropped the ball more for this game out of the gate.
I wish I would've waited on buying this. I like Street Fighter, but waiting until this game was discounted with everything released probably would've been a better idea.
@Deadlyblack I got my copy from Gamefly for about 20 bucks, and honestly, even though it's greatly lacking in content at this time, with the addition of CPU battles coming and a story mode on the way, I'm pretty happy at that price.
Slowly getting the content out, hopefully by Christmas the game will be worth it.
