PlayStation 2 platformer Psychonauts is getting a sequel as well as a PlayStation VR spin-off, but you may be wondering what this series is all about. The original's a bit of a cult classic, launching to muted sales but real critical acclaim, and now it's getting another shot at success on the PlayStation 4, courtesy of Sony's fledgling PS2 Classics initiative.
The emulated re-release includes a full set of Trophies in addition to 1080p presentation and all of the PS4 bells and whistles that you'd expect such as share functionality. Right now, the game's only available in North America, where it'll set you back $9.99. A European release is sure to follow in the near future.

Played this free on Gametap or Real Arcade or something 5 or 6 years ago. Much better than I thought it would be, fun platforming and an Imaginative storyline with a bunch of cool characters. It's basically Little Big Planet Zero, only 3D. I'd say it's worth $10 for the PS4 treament.
The game's story is hilarious. I still remember the milkman stage, I'm the milkman, my milk is delicious .
Is the ps4 port good? I like to buy it since it's only $10.
@wiiware Haha that level frustrated me so much
@Neolit Well, I've never liked Mario 64 - played it late after many PS2 platformers and I dind't think much of it, and Inception is sitting on a shelf w/ a dozen other DVDs in my movie backlog I've had for several years. So while LBP may not be a good match, it's the match I had.
To the PS Store!
So is this similar to the likes of Jak, Sly, Ratchet & co?
The frame rate is terrible, especially compared to the other PS2 rereleases. Hopefully this gets cleaned up.
Having never played the original, I really like that they included a digital copy of the game manual.
I guess not for ps vita
Wish id of kept my copy
