Remedy released Quantum Break to a somewhat muted response a couple of months ago, but now the Finnish firm is beginning to look to the future. And its outlook may include the PlayStation 4, as it's stated on its website that it's "developing a brand new game with a new partner". The company has been collaborating with Microsoft for some time now, but it seems like it will be breaking away for this particular title.
Now, this is certainly no confirmation that the dev's next project will release on the PS4, but if it's signed a deal with a third-party publisher, then chances are that the title will ship on Sony's new-gen system. And it would be nice to get some Remedy love, as it's been over a decade since the studio last released a game on a PlayStation console. That was Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne by the way – all the way back in 2003!

That'll be interesting since Remedy were kinda like to Microsoft what Quantum Break is to Sony.
I wanted more alan wake and this won't be that which is a bummer.
@adf86 @JoeBlogs I think he meant to say Quantic Dream.
@JoeBlogs think he means quantic dream. So Remedy being an independent developer but who have a strong relationship with Microsoft so make games exclusively for xbox/windows just like quantic dream and sony/playstation
Quantum Break was decent enough. I split the difference with one of my friends and got a Win10 Download for half off. Not bad, but not good either. It was pretty much all flash no substance.
@get2sammyb Yes I did, too many Quantums lol
Watched the game on twitch looked fun but did have a lot of live action sequences that took away from the actual game. Felt like they made the game so they could get a TV series out of it.
Maybe after all the money MS threw at QB and that was a big disappointment, they have had a falling out and now Remedy have had to seek alternatives to help fund their next game...
They can't keep living on the Max Payne name. Alan Wake was good (I am a fan of Stephen Kings books so that helped) but they haven't exactly hit the heights or moved forward...
The new partner could be Amazon or Gamestop though too...?!
@dodoo what is amazon working on? I know they did a lot of recruitment for the games division but did not know what they are working on
@dryrain I'm not too sure either tbh. Like you I know they recruited some people like the Strider developers but don't think we've seen any fruit of their labour yet though...
Quantum Break was gooood. I loved it. Hopefully it'll be on more systems so more can experience Remedy.
@Dodoo Sure. If it's GameStop, it's going to come to the PS4. As will be the case with virtually all third-party pubs.
@MrMustardMan Quantum Break won't be launching on any other systems.
Alan Wake 2 PLEASE!
Didn't own an Xbox but watch Quantum Break playthrough on Youtube.
I think the story is so boring and the time altering is almost carbon-copy of Timeshift.. Alan Wake is a much better game.
Still interest to play a Remedy's game though...
It would make sense. Remedy makes great games but they don't exactly sell like gangbusters and MS, even with all the money it has, can't keep making deals with Remedy when there are potentially better bang-for-your-$ opportunities out there. The way I see it, it's great for Remedy as it opens up a new audience and great for anybody who has a PlayStation but not an Xbox or gaming PC. This is a good thing just like when Insomniac spread its wingsand went multiplat.
Other sites are reporting they are working on 2 games? Either way one of them is without a doubt Max Payne 4, because I wouldn't have it any other way!
Quantum Break was one reason I was that close to buying an Xbox One..but once I found out it was the same guys that did Alan Wake I changed my mind because that game was a big dissapointment for me.What I've seen of the game I made the right choice of going with PS4.
But yeah I'd very much welcome a new Max Payne..
