It's been a couple of weeks since we last wrote about Destiny, which has got to be some sort of record, right? All's been quiet on the sci-fi shooter's front, as most fans are waiting patiently for September's Rise of Iron expansion, but that hasn't stopped developer Bungie from hyping up "the future" of the game.
During a special 'Bungie Day' event earlier this month, the studio teased what's in store for the ongoing project, revealing a blurred green-grey image that will apparently "become more transparent and less pixelated" as time goes on. Whether or not this is just a metaphor for the developer's plans is hard to say, but either way, it's clear that Bungie's thinking long-term. "The future is bright and hopeful, as it always is in Destiny," the studio stated.
Are you looking forward to the future of Destiny? Are you still enjoying the shooter, or are you just waiting for Rise of Iron, or even Destiny 2? Light the darkness in the comments section below.

Oh no, not this time Bungie! You got me super hyped for the release of the game and broke my heart. You wont be doing it a second time! sticks fingers in ears
Looking forward to rise of iron and destiny 2
Can't wait to watch people blow more money on this overhyped mish mash of mediocre ideas, and then complain two weeks later that there's no content
@Napples - those are the same people who will pour hundreds of game time into these extensions PLUS the cost, so I guess you can equally argue that the quality of the content is not an issue, merely the quantity.
Which is, in cost terms, absolutely the case with Destiny.
BUT, for gamers like myself who longed for the best-in-genre mechanics Halo provided, on a Sony console, it's peerless.
I'll be getting the latest expansion, but I suspect it maybe October.....as No Man's Sky is out in August 😎
I want Bungie to make me care about Destiny again but right now I don't. Hopefully rise of iron will be good.
Still waiting for Destiny 2.
Those blurry pixels count as trolling, IMO.
I may jump back on when Rise Of Ron comes out, but it depends. It needs to be at least as good as TTK for me to come back.
I just want Bungie to make a more straight forward FPS like Halo.
I really enjoyed the mechanics and graphics of Destiny. I had a blast with it and put in a good 40± hours. But all the RPG mechanics are too much for my feeble mind and I don't want to do it anymore. Just give me cool guns and stuff to shoot. I don't want to collect ore or talk to shop keepers or level up or manage resources or pick my skin color or farm loot, etc. Not to mention figuring out what the heck level I'm supposed to play next.
I know it's supposed to be an MMORPG but Bungie just needs to stick with what they're good at.
I'll get Iron but really I'll looking forward to Destiny 2 now. Can't wait to see what they do with it.
I haven't played it at all this year, just waiting for a sequel now
Played Destiny, played the Taken King, loved them. But I've moved on now. Still got to start UC4 for goodness sake! And then No Man's Sky. And then probably PS VR.... (where is the time... mutter mutter)
I played an amount of Destiny in year 1 that I am honestly ashamed to admit, it was a loving lot of my life. But I just don't care anymore & I was never hyped for it, I wasn't one of the people who felt let down by the release. I just don't feel like playing it anymore & this just doesn't seem like anything new to bring me back in.
