Mafia III lead Lincoln Clay doesn't mess around, does he? The star of the game's latest trailer, we see Clay take down a ton of criminals, from lowly drug dealers to mob bosses and more. Sure, his methods may not be subtle - they appear to be of the 'shoot first, ask questions later' variety - but hey, he gets the job done.
Of course, the big question mark still dangling over Mafia III is whether the gameplay is going to be varied enough to keep you interested. Many early previews of the title were quick to point out that the third-person action feels rather bog-standard, but we reckon that may not be too much of an issue as long as the story, setting, and atmosphere are enough to pull you in.

Definitely one to watch, in my opinion. Will it be Game of the Year material? Up for debate, but I reckon it's currently putting on a better show than Watch Dogs 2, for example. Finding Mafia III more and more appealing every time I see it.
mafia 3 is going to be legendary
Mafia 2 surprised me. Didnt expect it to be half as much fun as it was, so cautiously optimistic for this one
I'm still not convinced they can escape being stable-mates with Rockstar under the same publisher yet insist their game is totally different - despite the combat and driving being modelled and demonstrated in a similar fashion to GTA5.
It LOOKS slick and tiered, but so did Rise of the Robots, as Edge Magazine remembers all too well 😝
I love the Mafia series, I don't expect this to be any different.
Still looks fantastic. Just waiting for the "but".
I can't wait for this!
My expectations for this game are so low its has to beat how I think it will turn out.
There's a couple of things I'm worried about based on the gameplay I've seen.
Firstly, there are a lot of floating markers. There are markers for every gun, markers for cash that falls out of people, markers for distance away from an objective. It really looks cluttered.
The second is that Lincoln has Arkham detective mode (or Clay-vision if you will) and it felt really bizarre seeing it for the type of game it is.
I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait!!! Eeeee
