PlayStation Access is at it again, pumping out another lengthy gameplay vid in which the team trek from one side of a game's map to another. This time around, they're taking at look at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition running on PlayStation 4, so if you've been eager to see some uncut footage of the upcoming remaster, you'll definitely want to give this a watch.
Graphically, the first things that you'll notice are the improved lighting techniques and the added depth of field. It's an especially smooth combination that appears to work well, and it's nice to see such a stable frame rate, too.
The Special Edition is out on the 28th October, but will you be picking up? Journey across snowcapped peaks and into the comments section below.

I havent played it yet, so getting this for first play is going to be amezing. Problem is , not enough money and time both Battlefield 1 and world of final fantasy arrived today.
Looks nice, I haven't played it before but I'm tempted to wait to get it for the Nintendo Switch.
real question is whether load times have been improved....if they have i am all over this.
@PlaytendoGuy The console that it hasn't actually been announced for that you don't own yet and might never do?
It looked pretty smoooh when he was turning the camera, hopefully it maintains 30fps throughout.
I can't wait to play this on PS4 Pro!
30 mins of running round on a horse! I don't know about anyone else but I never touch the horses in a Elder Scrolls game, you seem to miss everything.
I already played it alot when it's out for pc a couple of years ago, I think I'll wait for the next game instead.
Very nice
Very impressive.Would seriously love to buy this despite spending so many hours on the 360 versions but too many games and too little time means I might have to give it a miss..
@Wazeddie22 it's a good game to just have in the collection and dip in and out of I think. The atmosphere/soundtrack both help while the hours away. I will get this after hitting a wall with the technical problems on PS3 so couldn't play more than 50-60 hours.
I'll probably get it eventually because the world was beautiful and the music was to die for. But when it comes to open world fantasy games, one thing still causes issues for me. And that's The Witcher 3 because it's practically spoiled all other games in the genre for me.
@ApostateMage Is it really only 30fps I was expecting 60?
@GBMatthew pretty sure I also heard 30 fps.
Really, but it ran at that on the 360, this doesn't make any sense.
@GBMatthew I think they are trying to benefit other areas, such as graphics, to not make it seem so outdated. They also might need the extra power to run mods.
I've watched some of the videos and while there's an improvment in terms of the environments, lighting and such, it seems NPCs look (and act) virtually the same, and the towns feel empty (dissapointing, considered a game like the first Witcher introduced changes to the NPCs years ago with a free Enhanced Edition). Also, watching a comparison video between X360 and X1 it seems the loading times while entering a building are virtually the same. I didn't expect no loading times, but c'mon...
So ugly when compared to witcher 3 or even TES blivion. I Just hate the blandness
Best RPG out there bar none. Own this on a few different devices and also will get it on Nintendo Switch. No other game including Witcher 3 came close to the immersion that Skyrim had.
Really looking forward to this, missed it last time as I took a 3 year hiatus from gaming.
Pre-ordered a pro as well...
@kyleforrester87 Must of been a real bummer to get so far and then unable to continue because of all the glitches in that game.I did ant have too much trouble with it luckily although two of the side quests were totally glitched but that was it.
Just hope all the problems are sorted for this version..
You are right about having it for the collection though..and that soundtrack..Wow.
I'll probably add it to my Christmas list..
@Wazeddie22 it was and it wasn't, I'd seen a lot by then and never went into it with the intention of clearing it really. I don't usually do this kind of game but Skyrim nails the atmosphere so I find it relaxing to just roam around in a way that I don't with Fallout, The Witcher etc
It's fun griefing OP enemies from a vantage point with weak ass arrows too
Loved this game when I owned it on the 360 so I'll probably pick it up once the price has dropped a little. Also like many others I have a fairly extensive backlog to clear before I take on anything else, twin babies are making this more of a task than it should be though.
On a slightly different point it was because of this game that I bought The Witcher 3, For some reason though I just couldn't get into it and probably only played around 10 hours in total before I drifted away from it. It's strange because it's abundantly clear that the game is brilliant, it looks amazing and there is plenty to get your teeth into but for me it seemed to lack something that kept me from returning to it and I can't put my finger on it.
