It's almost here. The wait for The Last Guardian has been torturous at times, but Fumito Ueda's magnum opus is finally upon us β and Sony has splashed out on a few billboards to remind everyone. Spotted somewhere in the States, the promotion shows a forlorn Trico peering at the robed protagonist from all of the marketing materials.
A cynic would point to the release date being written on a solid black background as reason to be wary β it could easily be painted over, after all. But no, we're confident that the long-awaited adventure will finally emerge on 6th December, and it's nice to see the game getting a bit of advertising budget. Now, where are those Gravity Rush 2 murals?

If you're worried about reading the black on black date, you should see the Paper Mario cover in this week's Target ad. It's like someone threw the box and they snapped a photo of it after it randomly landed, you can't read it at all, it's barely visible. But it is in there, which is a win for a Wii U game. No mention of still $299 Wii U though. $299
@rjejr You have a knack for talking about Nintendo in comments sections where Nintendo talk doesn't belong!
Good to see Sony's doing a good job to promote TLG.
Cannot wait. It's gunna be a pain listening to all the people complain about it not being a 10/10 experience but I'm trying to go in anticipating the obvious flaws (dodgy camera and controls are a certainty I suspect) and cannot wait. Will be a Christmas gift me thinks
At least the game is actually close to completion. After all, one year ago the fate of this title was uncertain. Even if you're dreading another delay, you have to be happy the game is still kicking, if you're interested in it, anyway.
@get2sammyb I like to think @rjejr is giving ya a public service announcement of don't worry things could be worse. much worse. like not gonna be a competitor soon worse. XD
@rjejr man get out of here Nintendo sucks
@rjejr
Quick! Save that pic and if Sony delays it again sue them for false advertising!
And of course Nintendo will advertise it. It is the only Wii U game they have until March.
@get2sammyb
Nintendo or not is irrelevant, his real knack is to change the topic.
@sinalefa Thanks for reminding me, I forget to add the pic this morning.
FYI @get2sammyb - my marginally on topic comment accounts for 5 comments in this thread, without me you'd have maybe 3, so, your welcome for my help in making it worth your time to post the article. I figure any article w/ less than 5 comments is meaningless.
It's been a long wait. Something for my Xmas list assuming it's good enough, fingers crossed.
Finally folks, in just three more months we get to play this. It's been a looong time coming.
Looks like someone photoshopped a bill board and you took the bait. Notice it says "Regency" underneath? Probably a hotel bill board in reality-we all know how much Sony likes to advertise 1st party games.
That billboard is real but last guardian is not.
@rjejr Untrue. I read almost every article even though I don't usually post.
Every article is valuable to someone that doesn't get news from anywhere else.
@playstation1995 Taco Bell hot sauce is stronger than that bait.

Yes!
First preorder in a very long time
@alphadrago5 "Every article is valuable to someone that doesn't get news from anywhere else"
Well I suppose "valuable" is in the eye of the beholder. But I meant valuable to the website, which relies on clicks to get paid, and I'm guessing the more comments, the more clicks, the more they get paid. You could actually be costing the website money every time you read an article and dont' post. So yes, valuable to you, but I was referring to the value of the article to the website.
The end is near ! Deenda!
Yeahhh it will be a total killer ! I already preordered it from : http://amzn.to/2dt2iF9
