The PlayStation 4 has been selling very strongly ever since it launched back in 2013 - and it isn't showing signs of stopping any time soon. According to Eurogamer, Sony's latest system sold incredibly well in the UK last week, with numbers being the highest that the console has seen since its initial release.
Of course, Black Friday would have played a big part in that, with numerous retailers discounting the machine and packaging it with loads of different games. We imagine that the recently released PS4 Pro has also had a hand in helping the system find this success.
Did you happen to buy a PS4 over the last week? Get playing in the comments section below.

Whoop dee do...
Bought a ps4 pro on Friday wasn't anything to with black Friday just needed a new ps4 and that was pay day haha.
@Omegaweapon1987 Nice timing!
@EVIL-C Wii fan Troll XD
@Omegaweapon1987 should have waited for cyber monday
I bought a slim with 2 games for 190, half the price of pro and I can get rid of my jet engine launch ps4, I'll pick up pro next year when they bother to do a decent bundle or special edition console.
Just when you thought MS were back in, Sony shuts them down.
A Ubisoft employee also claimed that over 2 million PS4s were sold worldwide in just 6 days & that's excluding cyber Monday as well.

I bought my 2nd ps4...the pro version.
Great piece of kit, though I do wish I could primary on both my own personal consoles.
Pain in the ass having to upload and download on my secondary all the time..
Good to here Sony's ps4 is still selling well. Got myself the pro when it came out. Good piece of kit with my 4K telly. Microlies has been doing well lately with their slim at such cheap prices, so that makes the news more impressive.
See internet Fanboyz if SONY do a Firesale like Microsoft has done in these past 4 months then SONY can Win to It has NOTHING to do with 'The Xbox ONE S is better and can play 4K Blu-ray's' blah blah blah
So we have a murder case here.
I ended up going out black friday to get the last minute things for my kids...we also purged on ourselves, but almost every store I went into was almost completely sold out of anything PS4, where XBONE still stood. I got a few PS4 games, but couldn't believe the price and the bundles they were having. In the US at my local Best Buy, they had the Uncharted 4 PS4 Slim for $250...came with 2x other games and a second controller...a very good deal that they sold out of quickly! Even the Game Stops around me were almost sold out of anything PS4. I don't see the system slowing down anytime soon, and it's still my favorite system (even though I have to purge on buying a 2TB Internal Hard Drive) for it.
I'd be surprised if it didn't sell well on the week of Black Friday. They even say the record was previously held by Black Friday 2015
I bought a PS pro as an upgrade.
I wish I could use my original PS4 at my second residence. I'll sell it because unlike the PS3, you can only use 1 PS4.
Scorpio will come far too late to matter. Choo choo. Means many more mediocre IGC months.
With some of the sale prices it'd be more of a story if PS4 didn't have a strong Black Friday. I also expect Xbox One did very well.
Wasn't in the market for a new console. Will give the Pro a while to bed in just in case they start burning down people houses or develop other issues. So as a person only in the market for games I found Black Friday/Cyber Monday pretty underwhelming.
@dnky666 consoles bundles at half price, new games only a month old almost half price, loads of acclaimed indies from this year half price. Okay, you win.
@Vorlon wait, why can't you?
@Neurotic_Biotic Only 1 primary PS4 permitted.
